This is way too difficult for me. Some off the top of my head.

Bodhi- Point Break
Mickey O'Neil- Snatch
Bill the Butcher- Gangs of New York
Tyler Durden- Fight Club
(T) Alfred Borden- The Prestige, Nathan Algren- The Last Samurai

Honorable mention:
Dirk Diggler- Boogie Nights
Doc Holiday- Tombstone
Russell- Almost Famous
Joker- Nolan's Batman
Dirk, Bill the butcher, Mickey, Doc Holiday are all great. All those great Bogart and Brando characters. It really is too difficult to narrow it down to five. It would be a lot easier to narrow it down using directors. Top 5 Cohen bros characters, Scorsese, Kubrick, Tarantino, PTA, etc.

As posted earlier, it's HARD to see a character in a book you've read perfectly executed on the screen. Javier Bardem did just that with Anton Chigurh.
Same here. Also just his command of the scene. When it's his time to talk no one else in the frame exists. No Country is my favorite Coen Bros film.

I almost put Nurse Ratched. I hate her so much that I love her. She is my number one movie villain of all time and it's not even close.

Doc Holiday
Cousin Eddie
Hub - Robert Duvall - Second Hand Lions
Rufus Clemens - Strother Martin - Hannie Caulder

SCULLY !!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit to add - my all time favorite. Remo Williams. Not so much from the movie, but Fred Ward did a good job.

There are 150+ books in the series and I have read the majority of them. Light hearted reading but fun. That is who is in my avatar.
and

Rufus Clements: I stole a Bible, Em. Do you want to read over Frank?
Emmett Clements: You know damn right well I can't read! The hell with him anyway!
Rufus Clements: You shouldn't have done that, Em. You're gonna get God mad at us and he's liable to...
Emmett Clements: Shut your damn mouth!
Rufus Clements: Well, I want to say something over Frank!
Emmett Clements: Well, say it and get it the hell over with!
Rufus Clements: All right... Frank... you're dead! God... damn if I don't miss you already, you miserable bastard!
