Frey's RIP thread got me thinking.

1. The Band
2. Eagles
3. Allman Brothers
4. Bruce and E. Street
5. CCR

Yes, I'm an idiot. Levon was sooo American though.

If I'm forced to remove The Band due to the apparent canadianess of some of the members I'd add the Dead or Beach Boys.

Marshall Tucker Band >>> Lynrd Skynrd.

Yeah lots of American Bands did this and kept the Stones off of the stage for 2 hours.

Sometime you are very wrong.

Live with Ronnie, Steve, Allen and Gary .... the greatest live performers I have seen.

Well that would be a matter of opinion...
People say this, but it's wrong. Some opinions are more valid. Whose opinion would you take when fixing your car? Mechanics or a homeless dude who knows nothing about cars. While we're talking about qualitative and not quantitative measures, some things possess more quality than others. Comparing bands, you can rank them. Or best foods, etc.

Some people have **** taste in music, and yes, their opinion is less valid.
