Top horror movies

Debate over sci-fi or horror aside, Alien Covenant is getting mixed reviews.. but everyone is saying the deaths and gore are it's strongest feature. Might have to check it out this weekend.

I'm definitely going. I love those movies

The jist is that it's better than Prometheus, but not by much.

+Stunning visuals and landscapes
+Great gore and kills
+Danny McBride is his usual self but turns out to be pretty useful.

-Mostly CGI aliens.
-Poor character development.
-Dumb premise and decisions (no reason to explore the planet, why are you outside without any sort of protection?).
-Nothing you haven't seen in any other Alien film.

Also, got around to seeing The Void, one of the few recent horror movies that was on my radar. I'm a sucker for body-horror and I'm a sucker for Cosmic horror/eternal damnation. It was right in line with movies like Event Horizon and Hellraiser.

Count me in. I love this franchise. The film could be 2 hours of the xenomorphs playing Texas Hold'em... and I'd still pay to see it.
