This is a killer storm. 3 to 4 touchdowns in the same area. Rain has stopped in Paintsville but looking at the radar it half through Eastern Kentucky

Tornado warning everywhere. Dont assume anything and get in your basement if you have one, stay away from windows and if it hits get in a closet in the middle of your house.

I’m in Arkansas. My next door neighbor’s house got struck by lightning. Hit a nearby tree and an attic beam crashed through his bedroom ceiling missing him by 2 feet.
NE Arkansas got destroyed with multiple tornadoes.
This has been the mother of all Spring storms.
Man sorry to hear this praying for all of you!

Still dealing with repeated tornado warnings n mid state TN area. Been up since like 2am and didn't go to bed due to anxiety til like 11pm.

Trying to motivate myself to stop watching the weather n bed and go upstairs to work. Working remote is a blessing in a time like this but I'm not feeling it yet lol.

I'm in Northern KY too my daughter text me this morning " did you all get a tornado" I said I guess not I slept through the night. I only woke up a couple of times when I heard thunder. She said there was a tornado warning in my county of Grant and Pendleton. I never heard any of that.
Yeah, wife and I stayed up watching all the action on Spectrum weather til about 3am, then we felt we were in the clear, but I'm feeling it niw.
Work phone started ringing bright and early.
I'm basically funneling coffee and Red Bull right now.

That warned system had a debris signature, but the storm weakened significantly right before it hit town, if that's any consolation.
Yeah, I went to school in Murray and have family near where it was supposedly on the ground. Just hoping it was mostly fields.

My brother lost 3 homes in the Mayfield Tornado, including the one he was in. Luckily he got to the basement in Time.

That area has been through a lot recently.

Some heavy stuff just north of Evansville so that part of the storm line is working its way closer to Louisville.
I live just NW of Evansville. Just missed us...literally. Half mile away had hail, high winds...ternada! It was pretty intense there for a few minutes. All kinds of trees, telephone poles, barns knocked down on my way into work. All is good for me.
The couple that owns our local drinking establishment had there house damaged, roof off, etc... Looks like they're gonna need my support more than ever now...

Hope everyone made it out alright last night. It's been a wet year so far and is fixin to get worse. Events like last night used to not bother me. I can't stand them now due to the fact we have no basement.

@JimboBBN - I lived in Hillview for a while. Loved off of Summers Drive. Familiar? My family still lives in Hillview. Hope it’s good there. How long you lived there?
My street is right off of Summers, so know exact what you’re talking about! I moved out here in March of 2021. Lived in Highview before that. Much prefer the peace and quiet of this area, though. We made it through the night with the worst thing being the power flickering for a couple seconds. We got lucky.

I have a fiance and one year old in the house with me. Wouldn’t have been near as nervous if it was just myself.

That was taken by someone in my daughter’s apartment complex. Thankfully she was down here in Greenwood watching our dogs. We were driving back from Cincinnati from my son’s baseball game. Kind of weird driving along the interstate in the dark listening to tornado sirens wailing away!

Prayers for everyone impacted!

It also seems like they’re happening much more frequently. Louisville has had two tornadoes within four days of each other. That never happened when I was growing up.

1996, a powerful EF4 tornado destroyed a lot of houses there in the neighborhood, specifically Summers Drive where my parents lived. Tore through southern Jefferson County, northern Bullitt County. Serious damage. Lot of houses completely destroyed.

Last night reminded me of a couple of bad events un the 90s, like 1998.

Yup I’ve heard about those before. But much crazier to have actually gone through them. I don’t think a lot of houses around here have basements. We don’t, and our plan is just to get in the bathtub in the middle of the house. Like I said, we got lucky!

Had two tornado warnings in Frankfort, pretty much back-to-back. One was to the north and one to the south of me thankfully, winds/rain/lightning were wicked. According to my brother a funnel was spotted in Frankfort and a tornado possible in Lawrenceburg. Thankfully chances of severe weather here is low today and tomorrow, just more about flash flooding.

Last night was pretty scary. We live on the Fayette/Jessamine line. We don’t have a basement so my wife and I barricaded ourselves into a bathroom along with our 3 young children. Luckily we weren’t hit, but it was a harrowing experience for 20 minutes or so.
Glad you're safe. We are out in Keene and sirens went off and looked bad so we went down stairs but never really got that bad other than some lightning.

Same man. I live close as well, right near waveland museum lane. We were in a closet from 2:20 to 2:45. Little unnerving.

This from a different perspective was on link above earlier.

Just happened to click on Fox Weather instead of The Weather Channel last night. Their storm chaser had unbelievable footage tracking it live. He was less than a mile from it, best tornado coverage I have ever watched. There was 2 truck drivers parked, he went up to them and told them to turn around. Less than 1 minutes later, the tornado crossed right where they was parked. Brandon Copic did a hell of a job, and the other chaser Corey Gerken chased the other huge tornado in Arkansas into Tennessee. They both traveled miles chasing these 2 huge monster tornados. Brandon Copic was giving live commentary as he was chasing the tornado, he said at one time, "This thing is huge, EF4 easily, probably over a half mile wide".
