We spent comparable money...we just don't report it. All those guys that came back didn't do so because they love Penn State. They got paid...wellWrong, we didn't spend nearly as much as duhO$U - you're full of crap. duhO$U spent the 3rd most in FBS in FY2023 (behind only Bama and aTm) - they increased football spending by 12% in FY2024 and again this year. Laughable to claim that PSU has spent anywhere near what duhO$U has on paying players (NIL), but keep telling yourself this anti-factual bs as if that makes it so.
I think we're all underestimating what a month off does vs someone that played 10 days ago. I bet heavy on Oregon today and less heavy on Bama. Staying away from Georgia/Ole Miss. Will Georgia adapt better with it being their second year in a row with the long break?Still surprised by this. Like most on the prediction thread from last week, I figured this was the easiest game to pick.
Any time that Meatchicken and tOSU both lose is a good time.
So you quit watching Penn State football in the 80s?I have not and will not watch one minute of minor league football games.
This was not as surprising as many thought; many analysts that look beyond the logo and the skill players pointed this out.. OSU was physically dominated in the trenches; their right guard play was awful, and I mean awful. You are not going to win many games against teams with a comparable blue chip ratio if you can't run the ball or protect the QB. All the Jeremiah, Tates, Porter Jr., Henry's are not going to help you if your QB's eyes are not down field but worried that Mesidor or Bain are about to decapitate them. Miami brought their A game. Beck made no mistakes. OSU was exposed by Indiana, Miami hammered that home.Still surprised by this. Like most on the prediction thread from last week, I figured this was the easiest game to pick.
For those who have watched OSU and Miami play this year it was clear that when playing comparable talent OSU lacked a potent running game to control the clock and their OL, especially the right side of the line, struggled. Tegre was a liability all season and Padilla and VanSickcle were really no massive upgrade. Mesidor and Bain put belt to *** is one reason why Donaldson got the snaps he got over Jackson, whose "blocking" was poor.
Nice try. Alfalfa, but I find no mention of NIL, which you proffer as the driver of OSU's deficit, in the article you linked.LMAO. Hit the link:
https://www.thelantern.com/2025/01/...s-37-7-million-deficit-in-monday-ncaa-report/
duhO$U's football expenditures were $72 million in FY2023 and $80 million in FY2025 - a 12% increase. duhO$U already had the 3rd highest football expenditures in 2023 (behind Alabama and aTm) and they increased it by 12% y-o-y, but none of it had to do with NIL payments.... whatever you say jock-sniffer. LMAO.

Just ignore him."We"..... STFU a-hole you aren't "we" when it comes to PSU Football. You're such a loser clown, it isn't even funny.
I understand facts just fine, Alfalfa. Simply looking for you to substantiate a statement you made earlier,"duhO$U has gotten a pretty paltry return on the massive sums they have spent on football they had an Athletic Department shortfall of nearly $40 million in FY2024 due to massive NIL spending." So where's the beef? You have a real problem understanding facts - don't you jock-sniffer? FACT: duhO$U spent more on Football than all other FBS Teams except Alabama and aTm in FY2023. FACT: duhO$U INCREASED their FOOTBALL EXPENDITURES by 12% y-o-y from FY2023 to FY2024. duhO$U ran a SURPLUS of $5 million in FY2023. duhO$U ran a fiscal deficit of -$40 million in FY2024. Your mathematics skills are clearly deficient fan-boy jock-sniffer. The primary cause of duhO$U's fiscal deficit in FY2024 was a LARGE INCREASE in Football Spending coupled with a DECREASE in Football Revenues for FY2024 (Football Revenues fell in FY2024 from $279 million to $255 million). Saying a LARGE increase in y-o-y Football expenditures of 12% had nothing to do with paying players is beyond laughable - even for a duhO$U jock-sniffing troll fan-boy.
You taking his side is comical. Wake up--accept realityJust ignore him.
Gee, dare I point out that Miami lost to both Louisville and SMU during the ACC Regular Season (Louisville went 4-4 in the ACC and 8-4 Overall and SMU went 6-2 in ACC and 8-4 Overall). All this bs about duhO$U losing to an incredible Miami teams is so laughable it isn't even funny - duhO$U was a 9.5 Point Favorite at game time and lost by 10 going away to a decent but far from elite ACC team. Maybe the reason duhO$U lost this game is the same reason they lost the b1g CCG - their offense sucks (especially their run game) and is absurdly one-dimensional. Their OL can't block without blatantly holding and mugging defenders resulting in an abysmal running game as well as Pass-Pro. Maybe it isn't that a 2-loss ACC team that didn't even qualify for their CCG is "all that", maybe its duhO$U isn't "all that" especially relative to the absurd amounts of $$$ that duhO$U has spent on professional football players to win college football games. If there is any University, and fan base, in the country with a pathetic "football" and sports culture in the country, it's duhO$U - including a pathetic fan base that attaches their own sadly inflated self-worth to the success of their professional football team that they have zero to do with or has anything to do with "collegiate athletics".
Are you telling us what to expect for the 2026 season? What don't you like about this upcoming offense? How does PSU stack up against that one-dimensional, sucky offense of OSU? Would you rather have their offense or the PSU offense? Yeah, I thought so.
Are you telling us what to expect for the 2026 season? What don't you like about this upcoming offense?
Or are you making some genius analysis of the 2025 season?
Well that went up in flames , YEAthere, I said it
I married a gal born and raised in Columbus. She loves her Lions--hates the Buckeyes. It’s a great day for me to send Happy New Year greetings to all my Buckeye friends and family.
I married a girl from Columbus and I live on the Ohio/KY line. It’s a nightmare. Not the wife, of course!![]()
PSU generally chokes against OSU. Bushy tries to imply OSU is horrible. Are you telling us what to expect for the 2026 season? What don't you like about this upcoming offense?

Your original comment made no sense. You just look dumber trying to twist it.PSU generally chokes against OSU. Bushy tries to imply OSU is horrible.
Come on...it made perfect sense. Bushy continually complains about Ohio State simply because they're better than us. Avg was correct...nothing dumb about it nor did he need to twist itYour original comment made no sense. You just look dumber trying to twist it.

Big Ten is now 3-1 in the playoff game with a guaranteed finalist but keep pretending they're all trashRight on que, the King of Dumber jock-sniffing b1g-shill fan-boy trolls chimes in....
Not sure I'd call OSU "Homegrown" when the QB and best defensive player are both from Bama and your power back is from WV. Can't blame Cignetti from bringing talent with him, love seeing JMU kids kick *** out there. Portal is going to be a giant part of everyone's program moving forward. They won a title last year?
We spent a ton of money and went 6-6
Also, Ohio State is mostly home grown. Texas Tech, Indiana and Miami are trying to buy titles.
Homegrown means they don't live in the portal. They fill gaps as opposed to building a team like Texas Tech or Indiana. Even Miami. Not sure I'd call OSU "Homegrown" when the QB and best defensive player are both from Bama and your power back is from WV. Pretty sure there were around 15 players or so from what I heard from JMU still on the roster and K. Black scoring all the Td's yesterday was most definitely a JMU kid.Homegrown means they don't live in the portal. They fill gaps as opposed to building a team like Texas Tech or Indiana. Even Miami.
It's not JMU kids...Indiana spent a ton of Cuban's money on kids from across the country. We saw what a team of JMU kids can so in this playoff with a great another great coach.
Now if you're a proponent of the portal and believe the kids should have control and don't get mad at coaches like Prime for using the portal I respect that. That's just not many here
Yeah, Black (in his sixth year) was from JMU. Sarratt is really the only other contributor on their offense that came from JMU--Fisher and Ponds on defense. I migh be forgetting a guyor two but that's 4 contributors from JMU not "a team from JMU". Lets say 6 contributors from JMU--it's not JMU winning in the P4.Pretty sure there were around 15 players or so from what I heard from JMU still on the roster and K. Nice seeing those kids do well on the big stage. I'm definitely old school in my philosophy of HS recruiting and then supplementing as needed, but a place like IU had to be treated differently, at least initially. Nothing but respect for what Cignetti has done so far. Definitely think Campbell can and will do great things here.Yeah, Black (in his sixth year) was from JMU. They've done an amazing job finding guys that fit their scheme from other programs--Cal, Wisconsin, NC State, Maryland, Ole Miss, Kent State, etc.
I dislike Cignetti's personality (I think it's obvious why it took him so long to get a decent HC role) but him winning after a month off in dominating fashion when no other coach has been able to win in the scenario is huge. Completely respect for that and we'll see if he can beat Oregon twice--that won't be easy.Nice seeing those kids do well on the big stage.
