talked about Heisman for 5 min, showed all Jackson high/low lights, about all we got was the FG going through the uprights, one guy even said "aren't we gonna show any UK highlights??"

If I were Stoops i would say something, enough to where ESPN has to say something in response... I dont know what you watched but I didn't really see some fluke out there today, and we deserved some credit

Yeah, I watched that. Thought the same thing. I remember at halftime the announcers thinking UL would take over the game the second half.

ESPN's been pimping Jackson for the Heisman for months, even during last night's games. They tied their star to his sinking ship, maybe they'll go down with him. He's choked the last 2 games and they're trying to save what little bit of face they have left., Watson's to lose now I think.

Yeah at HT that dumbass Danny Kanell said that he "fully expects Louisville to take over and win this game comfortably."

I don't give into the ESPN conspiracy theories, but Kannell had a big hard on for UL this year. One of their OL was the best in the country he said earlier in the year. He was a soso QB and is now a bad announcer.
We won boys, they can't do anything about it now, enjoy it.

I recorded the show hoping for something nice. Won't watch it now, but also not upset. We need a chip on our shoulder.

We got tons of love all day and were across the ticker all night.

A 28 point underdog winning in their house vs a fringe CFP team with the heisman FrontRunner is a huge story of what they did wrong.

I had to work for much of the first half, so my opinions are based solely on the 2nd half TV broadcast. The guy opposite Mike Patrick (Dan Cunningham??) must have brought up Heisman voting 15 different times. He never said anything different, just the same thing over and over. Even when UK was marching up and down the field, it was constant Heisman talk. It was one of the worst broadcast games i can remember, and I think Mike Patrick does a great job.

As for no love foe us on the highlight shows.....we pretty much get the opposite effect from January thru April once basketball is in full swing.

Watch that show SEC Now this morning about 11:00. They usually have a lot of good highlights.

ESPN is really getting to be unwatchable. I mean it's great having plenty of games to watch but Sportscenter and their commentary shows really suck now,
Surprised they haven't started promoting a 30-for-30 show about Lamar Jackson yet.

I started to watch SC last night at 11:00 but when they talked about Michigan/OSU for the first 15 minutes I turned it on the local news. If it's OSU I hope Alabama destroys them.

I usually like Mike Patrick, however both announcers were horrible yesterday. Way too many mistakes on location, people, and yes continually talking about Heisman voting every time Jackson touched the ball. Then when we would strike back they would talk about how that could cost him the Heisman, blah blah blah.

As for the mistakes, since when is UK in Louisville and when did Louisville become part of Lexington? Heck, Boom was lying on the ground injured for about three minutes and all they kept saying was how they thought it was Haynes, while the cameras were showing Haynes on the trainers table.

They gave no respect to UK the whole game and then seemed shocked that we could actually win the game. They were pathetic!

I usually just kind of chuckle when I read those complaints but yesterday was pretty one sided. They were prepared for one story line and went with it the whole game figuring the Cats would fall and the drama build up would pay off. Maybe next time the will do their homework

They sure did. That's how they sold all those Wednesday night games.

But this is somewhat old news. When Louisville agreed to the deal where they'd play any day of the week just to get on tv, ESPN started hyping them in an attempt to get ratings for those games.

Espn is a damn joke. They've turned Sportscenter into garbage. The whole Sportscenter "late Night"" bullcrap is horrible.
They dont really cover game highlights fully anymore. 2 to 7 second reviews of games. They suck at sportscenter classic stuff anymore.
When I watch sportscenter i want full highlights and full game stats and less talking heads....way less talking heads.

I was disappointed as well.

There were lots of big games yesterday. I think the OSU, Mich game overshadowed everything and then UK losing to UT and UGA plus UL getting embarrassed by Houston over the last couple weeks and now the playoffs being out of the picture for UL made this game lose its luster from national standpoint.

It's not going to get any better on that front. People use internet and increasingly Twitter, Snapchat for highlights on demand ... highlight shows going the way of the dodo bird.

I kind of like Danny Kannell with understanding his persona is 100% anti-SEC heel. He's pretty hilarious on Finebaum going at it with the callers.

The problem with ESPN is, much like mainstream media, they've made it more about trying to create news to drive ratings instead of simply reporting news. The games and the players are enough, we don't need announcers and sportscasters interjecting themselves into every game trying to tell people what to think, especially with all the information most of us have at our fingertips. Just like the old days, when MTV used to be about enjoying music, ESPN used to be about enjoying sports.

Kentucky football isn't a national story. The story was Lamar Jackson and his Heisman chances. It wasn't hate or dissing UK, just the way it is. If they'd have beaten Houston and we'd knocked them out of the playoff pictures, it would be covered more. Don't take it so personal.

With ESPN so bizarrely involved in politics these days, it wouldn't surprise me if it was bias for liberal strong hold Louisville vs the rest of the state completely red. You would think a sports network wouldn't give two defecations about politics, like probably their entire audience who tune in exclusively for sports.

I'm with you, but the rating say otherwise and have for a long time. Networks chase ratings.

ESPN's most profitable shows are PTI and First Take ... or at least First Take before Skip Bayless left. Those shows net tens of millions of dollars for Disney.

The ESPN of 1987 is gone. It was good then. Highlights. Highlights. Highlights. It became a self-serving entity in the 90s and hasn't looked back. Made their personnel bigger than they deserved. Too much talking head side bars and shows. I only watch now if UK is playing or another good game. Maybe a 30 for 30. Nothing else.

Best way to get back at ESPN? Cut the cord. Cancel cable. Fyuk them over big time. Espn's money is tied up in cable subscriptions. You cancel it ...they lose.
Trust me it feels good not giving them money for their empire. Burn mfers burn

You can show highlights of the game. Spend some time talking about the upset and then discuss the implications of the loss on the Heisman. You don't have to spend 99 percent of the time talking about one player instead of the game itself.

I did a google search on ed cunningham since I was not sure I had ever heard him before. He played college football for Washington and played center in pro ball. I felt like he just assumed that the tards would blow us out and therefore did not need to do much preparation for the game. As a broadcast analyst, he was on the bad side of pitiful for our game. Go Cats!!

What ESPN and others are missing is the Stephen Johnson story. It's a great, compelling story and it's a damned shame it's being ignored.
