I was looking ahead at our schedule. Yikes. MD, Wisc, Purdue, Indiana.

I'm annoyed at my friends who keep coming up to me saying "Congrats! This is finally the year for your team!" I don't see it as a lock by any stretch....

Do we get any of them at home other than indy?
I say we beat indy at home but lose to all 4 of those teams on the road. Beat maryland at home, lose to purdue at home.
We will finish up 11-7 in the BIG. 5 seed in btt, 9th sead in ncaa.

We're not playing Maryland on the road. We can certainly beat them at home.

Indiana just lost by 30 at Michigan. Why are they so tough? Why can't we beat them twice?

Well, for one, we haven't played an offense anywhere near their talent level yet, and our defensive performance has only been slightly above average relative to the offenses we've faced so far. We made bad offenses like Rutgers, PSU, and Minnesota look far better than they have been. Defensively IU is a tire fire, but their offense is why I'm hesitant to say we'll go 2-0 against them.

Bring on the beasts! We will rise against them and conquer the whole lot of them! The NU football seemed to get up and motivated against our biggest games this past season- let's hope the bb team will follow in suit! These are the games I would have loved to have had the talent and luck to play in when I was a student at NU.

I'm thinking those teams might be thinking Yikes, Northwestern! Notice that the one thing those top B1G teams have in common is that they haven't had to play the Cats yet.

This is the right perspective. For what it's worth, I think Maryland will win the conference. Right combination of veteran leadership, young stars and good coaching.

The schedule has prepared us for this stretch. The team has responded well in close games following the losses to Notre Dame and Butler. They now believe they will win. CC has helped them make the adjustment to "Expect Victory". You could see it in the Nebraska game. It should carry over and enable us to go head to head with the top teams and come away with some wins. I expect us to knock off one or more of Wisconsin, Maryland and Purdue and to beat Indiana today.

Go Cats!
