No one suggested the fans were responsible for his play, good or bad. No one said he did not throw those INTs. Those are completely different subjects and a defense to a case never made.
Fair enough but then the use of the word butchered is extreme hyperbole wouldn't you agree?

I apologize if you did not understand. You may have better words for how Towles has been treated by fans over the past couple of years.

The easiest path is for one to be an assinine prick obviously, it's harder to see things from another persons perspective for sure.

Yes, that sends mixed signals. I think regardless of what Stoops thought, he should not have said that. I think that is what drove PT away. He felt like Barker did not separate himself and then Stoops gives up on Towles.

Then, to say what he saw about "on Sundays" is a very not sincere.

Some of this could have been avoided if the staff would have let Drew get more snaps. Doing that could have either shown how bad some of our players were playing or it could have shown that another QB was needed to run the offense. Not doing it actually caused some fans on here to get really nasty even though Towles had no control of him staying in the game. And sitting Towles might have given him the vision to see why he was making the mistakes he was making. It might have been nice to have had a QB coach to talk to on the sidelines. Hopefully going forward our coaches will feel confident enough in the backups to give them snaps when the starter is not doing well.
