They are squandering Allen’s prime years. At this point they need to go all-in on 2026 and 2027 and not worry about the future. They need real WRs.
I agree. McDermott wasn’t the problem unless he was the one cheaping out on the WRs. The defense could use some upgrades also. It’s mediocre, at best, which forces the offense (Allen) to put up a lot of points to win.

I’m disappointed to see Trace go, but it’s a career opportunity for him. He wasn’t the primary QB coach at PSU, he was an assistant QB coach, so this move is good for him. Best of luck.

agree - disappointed to see Trace go, and would like to see more stability in coaches/roster to rebuild/recover.

it is kind of odd for the ASST QB coach at PSU to get to the NFL as a QB coach. usually the real QB coach would get poached before the ASST QB coach.

From what I heard, Trace will be doing QC and film breakdowns, among other primary duties. Some coaching, some analytics.
As you said, great learning opportunity for his future coaching aspirations.

most likely as Bo Hardegree is listed as the QB coach but his wife may be more impressive....

Bo Hardegree (born July 5, 1984) is an American football coach who is the quarterbacks coach for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He had previously served as an assistant coach for the Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, and New York Jets.[1][2]

Early life and playing career

Hardegree grew up in Jackson, Tennessee and played football for his father at Jackson Central-Merry High School. Hardegree was a reserve quarterback for the Tennessee Volunteers from 2003 to 2006, appearing in one game before switching sports and playing for the school's tennis team.[3][4]

A native of Jackson, Tennessee, Hardegree is married to Lauren, a pediatric radiologist.
