After unveiling our new alternate uniforms, the word tradition gets brought up time and time again regarding the uniforms and a variety of other topics on this board.

What is our tradition? Tunnel walk, walk on program, uniforms, option, etc??? All of those things are part of Nebraska football but those are not our tradition.... Our tradition is winning and winning only. Nebraska wins and Nebraska has won for a long time. We didn't win because of a uniform, playbook, or walk ons... we won because the players that wore the uniform, ran the plays, and were the walk ons worked harder and smarter than the rest of the country.

Nebraska's tradition is winning and whatever it takes to start winning at the highest level needs to be done.

A fiddler on the roof. Sounds crazy, no? But in our little village of Anatevka, you might say every one of us is a fiddler on the roof, trying to scratch out a pleasant, simple tune without breaking his neck. It isn't easy. You may ask, why do we stay up there if it's so dangerous? We stay because Anatevka is our home... And how do we keep our balance? That I can tell you in one word... Tradition.
Because of our traditions, we've kept our balance for many, many years. Here in Anatevka we have traditions for everything... how to eat, how to sleep, even, how to wear clothes. For instance, we always keep our heads covered and always wear a little prayer shawl... This shows our constant devotion to God. You may ask, how did this tradition start? I'll tell you - I don't know. But it's a tradition... Because of our traditions, everyone knows who he is and what God expects him to do.

We have had an alternate uniform for several yearns. The WH and other sites have pictures, where you can compare. I love this years, totally cool look and seems to honor the Blackshirt theme. In addition; also a total home run, as far as high tech goals to affect the game - should cut down on holding and they don't hinder players flexibility - there will probably be some national stories if it seems to be working.
