Title IX lady aside, and even forget he's a football player, how does a student enroll in classes this late in the semester?

He wouldn't be an early enrollee at this point. Just summer. I've got no idea how it all works or what merit there is to the report above. Twitter comments were all over the place. Some say it's over b/c he's in the Arkansas student directory. Others replied that he was in the student directory here as well.

At this point, I don't even know that he could enroll at Arkansas until Summer, so that may be why it's thought to be in flux.

EDIT: Looks like the last day to enroll at Arkansas was the 23rd, so maybe he did enroll.

This situation has harmed the reputation of at least 2 people, by alot of speculation and jumping to conclusions. If Jeffcoat was never charged and was allowed to return to Missouri plus is a take for other schools similar to us, then he should be allowed to enroll at SC. However, if we do have a policy in place that has zero tolerance for certain accusations then harassing the title 9 employee for following a policy, that she did not create, is so wrong. Her picture has been posted on social media which has led to body shaming. A picture of her house and her address was also posted. This is so dangerous to her safety. I can't believe it's as simple as her digging her heels in and refusing to budge. If it were that simple, she would have been overruled. If they do find a work around, Jeffcoat's reputation has been damaged as well. Some of the "insiders" need to pump the brakes and realize how much harm they caused by running with a story before all the facts are known. Not talking about Chris or the other writers on this site. I hope this can be resolved but what a mess.

This has been my thing all along. What I read said the BOT met late into the night trying to find a resolution, so they obviously want him in. Surely one single University employee does not have the power to override the wishes of the BOT. It's not possible and doesn't even make sense to believe so. There is obviously more to it.

Mob mentality at it's worst.

It's simply asinine to think that one single employee has more power than the BOT, but it didn't stop people from running wild with that notion. Amiridis doesn't even have more power than the board, but this Title IX employee does? Nobody even stopped to ask: does this even make sense?

Modular terms ... very likely he can enroll in hours for the second modular term (06) and if he needs 'x' amount of hours to be NCAA eligible next year, there is summer ... if memory serves correctly, Renaldo Balkman took courses (at Midlands Tech?) and modular courses at USC to meet eligibility requirements ...

I know you're particularly riled at this employee. But does it make sense to you that one single University employee can override the BOT? Not even the University president can do that.
She 100% fits the mold of a bleeding heart liberal with a power trip. I consider all people of that sort to be my mortal enemies.

I get that, but do you think she actually has enough power to override the BOT? It was reported that the BOT met for a long time trying to find a resolution, so they obviously wanted to get Jeffcoat in. You don't really think one employee can override their wishes do you?

For that matter, do we even know for sure she was directly involved? It just doesn't make sense. There's obviously a policy in place that proved to be a hurdle.

"Those types" are feared by many due to the bleeding heart MSM being on their side. If this female dog's decision was overridden, Carolina might have had the lead in story on the NBC Nightly News due to overriding this poor social justice warrior's ruling.

But that rationale just doesn't make sense. He's been playing at Mizzou for 4 years and there was no media outrage. He got into Arkansas and there was no media outrage. It didn't even register a blip outside of the Arkansas and USC fan bases. Why in the world would there be a national media outrage if he was admitted here?

I get that we feel like we need to identify a boogeyman, and while I would certainly not be in political agreement with this woman, she just doesn't make sense as a logical choice as the culprit here.

I'll agree to disagree with you. She IS the boogeyman. I hope she resigns & moves to Colorado.

If we heard is accurate - and maybe it’s not- no way one person, don’t care what sex, should be able to override the judgement wishes of everyone one. Especially when you would want our admission standards to be equal to - not higher than - the schools we recruit against. Shades of the ACC, whose admission standards were higher that the other conferences way back when. That was one of the reasons we dropped the ACC. Then of course they loosened the academic requirements for admission shortly after we withdrew from the conference. Now, like then, all we ask for is an equal playing field. As a small state, we have enough disadvantages without creating more.

Does it make sense to you to believe that’s the case? A singular employee has more power than the BOT?

I get it. I do. In the absence of any facts on the situation, we need to create a scapegoat to help make sense of the situation.

In reality, it’s just as likely that Jeffcoat simply changed his mind as it is that this woman is more powerful than the BOT.

It's more likely that one employee raised a red flag that policy would not allow to be buried (or overridden) by everyone else. Or they felt whatever negative press wasn't worth it.

Imo, that's much more believable than this single employee being "more powerful" than everyone else.

Then the University obviously needs to revise the policy. If even the BOT could not find a resolution to the issue to get him admitted, this is much, much bigger than one employee in the Title IX office.

There really just is no logic to the rationale that she single-handedly blocked his admission. I don't know how the myth even gained traction.

In the hypothetical situation where it was a policy issue she initiated, it could easily have been a situation where it could have been overridden, but those that could do it felt it wasn't worth any potential backlash.

Again, this is all hypothetical. I'm just laying out a scenario where a single "whistleblower" can screw up a process without really being "more powerful" than all the other entities.

Now I remember why I avoid this board. Calling women dogs. You are a trash human being.

I echo the sentiment that it makes absolutely ZERO sense that a mid-level administrative employee would have the sole decision making ability, and even if this was her supposed choice, she couldn't be counseled by others who have decision making ability and influence. I'm guessing this asshat isn't a graduate of USC because these comments clearly indicate a severe lack of education and intelligence.
