Looking at T-Rank (barttorvick.com)

Committe has begun using this as a metric for seeding the field, so I think this means something at least.

Since February 8 to current, which includes games with USC, UT, Texas, Vandy, Bama, Oklahoma, Auburn, and LSU - we are sitting at the following in Overall Rank, Off Eff, and Def Eff:

- Overall Rank - 9
- Off Eff - 23
- Def Eff - 14

These are adjusted metrics over that time period. As you can see, we have made tremendous strides in defense, and have lost a bit in offense. I like seeing these numbers, and I think we have really been improving on the defensive side. Looks like we’ve suffered on O, but can be contributed to Butler being injured and of course Jax.

Top 25 in both bodes well for us. If you just look at our trend here, we could be going into tourney play with some positive momentum. Thoughts?

I honestly didn’t think they could get the defense figured out. Surprised to see them, in a limited sample, limiting teams with their defense. I think having some roster equilibrium alone may have been the cure. Hope we can stay in a rhythm on both sides of the ball as we enter post season.

Roster consistency is so important. A lot of this was that it was a brand new roster with 0 returning players, a new coach figuring it out, and then injuries to our team, almost from the 1st month and on.

I think its safe to say that Pope's defense is just fine so long as we don't have a plethora of injuries.
