IIRC Forrest got out to a big early lead but Brown kept pressing and was very competitive in the 3rd.
Brown also won Ironman, beating Keanu Dillard and Iowa conmit Israel Borge.
The main question is of course which kids Slumlord Bob is trying to poach.
Thanks for the news. Sad to see this, as too much talent is being collected in the B10 and B12 (at least Ok State) programs. The portal and NIL sucks IMO! I don't blame the wrestlers, just the system.

I agree. Sport needs the Pitts, Lehigh... to continue to do well and compete. Not sure what the tipping point is, but am hoping the 30 scholarship limt when fully enacted helps.
Taylor has a glut of guys at those weights.
But more generally: why would we be concerned about Taylor going after any of Cael's recruits? As if Taylor didn't already go after them and Cael won.

When a few of us met up with a few guys in the Iowa insiders chat group before B1Gs last year they told us in no uncertain terms they were still working to flip Blaze and/or Duke. Who really knows when it ever ends these days?

I'd be shocked if Stanich left Lehigh. It's hilarious when fans think their teams can just help themselves to other teams wrestlers.
Well, it appears he has to go 65kg internationally for Olympics in 2 years since his recent attempt to cut to 57kg put him in the hospital (if I understood the news in the regard). He tried to go 65kg to qualify for the last Olympics in 2024 and got teched by teammate Kiyooka. Since he wrestled so well at 61kg after that, I assume he was small for 65kg. Anyway, just speculating that he may be thinking 65kg for 2028 and will be trying to get bigger, which may make 141 an option.
It doesn't end, ever.
But my concern with it does. We've had so few guys flip, often surprise commits like Wittlake. And it works out for us anyway.

Yes, very high motor. With Sidun, Burnett, Blaze, Ono, Desmond, etc all down there I get why he maybe wasn't a high priority. However, I love the way he competes and will be a fan. I really want Pitt to attract and hold that type of talent. I think Gavin is a good coach, but they have little to no NIL.
Gavin did an excellent job of restoring that program after the Midlands hookers episode, getting a decades-overdue facility upgrade, and changing the PWC from a youth club to an RTC.
But there might not be much more juice to squeeze there for a while.
I wouldn't over pay for Crookham even though he is very good. I don't think he will hold up medically with how he treats his legs.
When they actually go to class the 1st time. The rules allow it so you keep recruiting until you can't anymore. Years ago once the letter of intent was signed the rules stated recruiting must stop

I believe the juice has been squeezed, which is why they lost the Browns (Elijah and Karson). Did we benefit from it? Yes. Do I like the fact that a Pitt program in arguably the best area of arguably the best state (this one isn't as arguable) can not get top local recruits due to money, no.
