Difficult for me to believe he doesn’t end up at Iowa. It’s a perfect fit. Iowa needs a 133 and they can blame the inevitable Iowa injury problems on his pre-Iowa history.
After watching Iowa's NCAA performance I am wondering if the twins are learning. They had their team show up in Cleveland, rested instead of looking like they trained through the post season and wearing shoulder braces. Maybe there is hope he could get the increased toughness and conditioning the Iowa room offers without having to sacrifice a limb.

Not really portal related but Karson Brown flipped from Pitt to Ohio State. I really like his pace. He wrestled Jax tough in the finals at Powerade losing 20-13. It was a good match.
That’s too bad as I would rather see Pitt get some good kids than OSU. Although OSU does win recruiting national championships. 🙄

In today's NCAA world, if you can afford a lawyer you have more eligibility. Ever since Cornell proved that you can have a do over if you desire, as long as you have a legal team the NCAA eligibility clock keeps getting extended.
Yes. I do know Cornell's do over desires and the growing NCAA eligibility clock issue are 2 separate conversations. It is just an opportunity to slap Cornell with their need to insistently whine should never be given a pass.

Pretty sure he doesn't. Was a RS senior in 24/25 wasn't he?
Yes.
HS Class of 2019
2020 - shirt at Lehigh
2021 - free year (did not compete)
2022 - competed unattached (last match Dec 2021)
2023 - Illinois
2024 - Illinois
2025 - Illinois
2026 - did not compete (not on any roster?)

IIRC he was not enrolled anywhere in the 2021-2022 school year. And he got tossed from Lehigh with the drug arrest in North Carolina (the alleged crime occurred during the 2020 team trip to the Scuffle). So maybe if you squint hard enough, then he wasn't enrolled for a year and gets a medical shirt for 2026?

Seems like you gotta squint extremely hard, but that's all I can think of.

Interesting. I would think he would've competed this year if eligible.

For a second there I thought Ironbird had managed to get unbanned and switched allegiances until I read the username lol
For those who didn't get the joke:

When Ruth was still in HS, before his recruitment opened, Spyker actually did say: "Edmond Ruth will be better than his brother. Book it." (He used exclamation points but I don't remember how many.)

I added the 4X NCAA CHAMP !!!! part to highlight the insanity of guaranteeing a HS kid will be better than a 3x NCAA champ.

Fast forward 8+ years, and Spyker is still overhyping poor Edmond.

Would love to get Edmond Ruth. Cael and Staff would help him Win a National Championship. Very Confident in that. Young Man needs an Elite Room with the Best Coaches in the world.
well I am sure he practices with his brother how much better can that get?
