I thought this was pretty interesting. Not sure it really tells us anything, but interesting data still.

The only concerning transfer was Robinson, after that, I don’t know why anyone would care. With the exception of Frost continually stating McCaffrey was the “quarterback of the future” which anyone with a set of eyes could tell you he was not division one QB material. So the only bad look about that, is it just discredits everything Frost says further.

Frost tried to hang onto Macaffrey with an assist from the media. It was pure puffery. He didn't want to lose the kid, but he also didn't believe a word he was saying.

IMO, he’s done so to protect his QB coach from public opinion and ridicule. He’s loyal to a fault and will let Mario decide when it is time to step away. It was painfully obvious to HCSF, that after nearly 2 years in the program and giving him the reins to be the starter, LM’s best attributes, was not that of a QB. LM knew this was coming prior to the Rutgers game and chose to privately opt out. Chase your dreams kid, best of luck.
