I'm still not sold on the portal being a way to build a team that competes for championships. I think teams can pick up a good player or two for a short term fix at a position of immediate need but trying to build a team with portal players doesn't seem like it is a viable long term strategy.

We are getting a DE from a 7-6 ACC team. That isn't the kind of talent that is going to move USC up in the SEC standings.

It's a position of need so you have to give a little bump for that.I think at this point just about any serviceable RB would be considered a win as well.Might not be a home run but maybe you can squeeze an extra win or 2 with those guys.
