Seems every year there's at least one surprise player from the mid-majors who bursts onto the scene. Nada this year. Top 16 seeds cruised.
The thing that makes March Madness so popular is the madness. The madness stems largely from the underdogs getting their shot against the big boys and pulling off the upsets. The portal has taken away the madness.
