when did announcing you’re transferring high schools on twitter become a thing? Awful.

Next there will be something similar to baby gender reveal parties. The transfer could invite all his family and friends over and hit a piñata full of confetti for his new team’s color.
Really, really funny!Next there will be something similar to baby gender reveal parties. The transfer could invite all his family and friends over and hit a piñata full of confetti for his new team’s color.
Agreed, but recruiting the kids to transfer and NOT living in the district is a big deal.Come on transferring between schools is no big deal.
Agreed. Not a big deal. Why broadcast it on twitter then?Come on transferring between schools is no big deal.
That's what kids do? They grew up with social media. When I was in HS there was no YouTube. Then some years later kids could broadcast their highlights on the platform.Agreed. Not a big deal. Why broadcast it on twitter then?

It's just a different era. The problem I have is when a kid tweets that they're transferring to Bloom from Plainfield East and the tweet location is Romeoville.
I know. That's why it's odd that a kid would tweet from there when they should be in Chicago Heights.Plainfield East, draws kids from Plainfield, Romeoville and Bolingbrook.
Really like your new profile picture. It is a bull with sun glasses and headphones isn't it?Althoff lost its last year’s junior transfer RB from O’Fallon to O’Fallon.

Yeah. They should just come spend their time on message boards I guess. Make no mistake the celebrity treatment begins in places like this one.In the age of social media, the narcissists believe everyone’s a celebrity. As misguided as it is, it’s real. Nothing else will explain why I need an update from my wife’s cousin every 10 minutes or so. There are at least a couple dozen people in my friends list that spend practically all their waking hours posting on Facebook and to a lesser degree Twitter.
I think I was implying a false sense self because people have their own forum. I’m not sure how my Wife’s cousins obsession with social media or a couple other dozen people I know has anything to do with Edgy s forum but we are all entitled to our own opinion.Yeah. They should just come spend their time on message boards I guess. Make no mistake the celebrity treatment begins in places like this one.

The station mascot is a sunglasses-and-headphones-wearing pig named "Sweetmeat," the likeness of which originally appeared on the cover of Blodwyn Pig's 1969 album 'Ahead Rings Out'.[6]
Like the pig pictured on the LP cover, Sweetmeat first appeared with a joint in his mouth. This "controversial" detail disappeared in the early '80s in favor of an updated, cartoon "rocker" pig. In recent years, the station has returned to using the original image, along with the original KSHE-95 text logo.

Did you walk to work both ways up hill in the snow?I was an intern at KSHE way back in the day....spent a summer in St. Louis in a one bedroom apartment with no air...

I completely understand that transferring schools is sometimes a part of life. No big deal. On the other hand, when it becomes a culture for some high school teams, it's disappointing.
