What teams have fans that travel? I love playoff time when GBW plays NSL teams and other Northwest Suburban teams (not familiar with Catholic teams other than what I have seen at state) because they come with a huge fan base. That is awesome. Technology is great, but there is nothing like cheering your team on live. It makes it so much better for the kids and the fans on both sides. Growing up, I remember a Morris game was the place to be, even though I went to Minooka (Morris had lights). Thoughts on getting more folks to games or is this just a slow death?

i really don't think there is a question that JCA fans, year in and year out, show up on the road more than any other. it is something that has always impressed me, especially given the size of school. I'd be shocked if we were not in the top 5 for home crowds as well...and i'm not just talking about playoff or big games.

Growing up, I hit plenty of JCA games at Memorial, great atmosphere. I hope it is still the same.

JC,

I bet you guys average between 4-5 fans at your home games for every student enrolled maybe even more. Imagine a school like Neuqua Valley, Stevenson, etc with the same type of turn out...they'd be looking at weekly gates of 15-20k people minimum. In an area with such a high population density it's surprising(actually a shame) schools with enrollments of 2500+++ can't put at least 5k in the stands every week!

it's true...(JCA had an estimated 4k+ friday against MCC)and as you know as a well-travled HS football fan, it's too bad...because our avg attendance pales...
