I don’t think, he’s kind of a polarizing personality and I don’t know how well he could play with others.
I get it that many don't like his personality, but has he ever done or said anything that's anti-UK?
This was years ago but he was not very well liked at EKU for being snooty or uppity.
Have never been a fan of his coaching since, liked him as a player but disappointed me as a coach.

Polar opposite of Pope. Mark is a great guy. Ford is a tool. Can't see them working together.
It'd be a huge mistake for Pope to involve Ford at any level. It just would be.

Guys we need recruiting specialists that are proven killers. We don’t need to exchange Cals Pals with a group of guys that are only there because of former UK ties. If they are both/great but we need Mark to hit the ground running with top notch proven assistants.
Pelphery isn’t a very good head coach but he does a great job as an assistant. Would love to see him come back and coach here

And the other thing is while I completely agree with you I’m concerned they’ll take this uk reunion 90s stuff a little too far. That’s my concern but I’ll reserve judgement.
Pelphrey is still the head coach at Tennessee Tech. 10-21 last season. Don't see him stepping down out of that role to be an assistant unless he gets fired.
If I remember right, Dr. Glasser and a few others got pretty fed up with Coach Ford's language, especially during games. XD
