He does; I've brought it out out of him multiple times.

I don't read his postings anymore though, because while he "enjoys" making people angry, I don't and it's inadvertent... a natural consequence of me exposing him.

Because who knows,?it might set him off, maybe he's one of these types or worse.

Which is our only real hope remaining as a country, liberal like her that recognize this insanity able to real them back in to reality. There are also a lot black intellectuals, competent and not beholden to political interests, able to see the reality for what it is who need to speak loudly and more prominently, save lives... someone like deGrasse Tyson would be perfect for his popularity if he took up the cause that's actually righteous in place of this politically expedient, self-righteous lioes of destruction and mayhem .

Blm was shaking down businesses in Louisville too. Donate and follow these rules or we will burn down your business... No arrest.

Sure I have. I gave you the overall numbers from both categories. It shows black people and POC in general are far more likely to die from negative police interactions than white people. I can't make you accept reality. You have to do that all on your own.

Sure we do. You just don't want to admit it. Who is far more likely to end up in that category, people of color or whites? Well, POC includes black. Black people are often mixed races or skin tones that make them appear mixed. It is very easy to be confused by that and has to label them unknown. Again, that is just logic.

Lol, stop and frisk? War on drugs? Super predators? All of these led to mass racial profiling by police nationwide. While some of the policies have been banned, the actions and consequences still very much exist. They were very racist policies. Attitudes and beliefs like yours are what drive police to view black citizens as likely culprits. It's the belief system you have been indoctrinated to. "Black means criminal." "If a crime has occurred, look for the closest black person, it was probably them. "

Sure I did. I explained that if they were profiled, targeted, apprehended, accused, tried, and convicted comparatively for the crimes in the same way black people were, it would be much closer to accurate. However, since law enforcement in this country does not treat them the same, they are not an accurate representation of reality.

Handful? I just gave you 14 cases in 1 sentence.

Again, I ask, what caused the deadly interactions of George Floyd, Eric Garner, Philando Castille, Atatina Jefferson. Breonna Taylor, Stephon Clark, Botham Jean, Alton Sterling, Michelle Cusseaux, Freddie Gray, Eric Garner, Akai Gurley, Tamir Rice, Tanisha Anderson to name a few?

Also, why, last night, did the cops run right past the white guy carrying an assault rifle, who just publicly shot 3 people, killing 2, and into the crowd of mostly black protestors who were trying to help stop him?
Quoting totals doesn't indicate that black people are far more likely to die from negative police interactions than white people. If you don't understand that, then keep making yourself look like a fool. You may think you are accomplishing something, but anyone who has the slightest bit of math comprehension is laughing at you.

Sure it does. You not being able to accept it doesn't mean it doesn't.

Again, if 1 group has far more interactions (potential for negative actions), yet, another group is experiencing far more of those negative actions, that would easily indicate the disproportionate impact.

I am guessing you would not qualify in that group of those having math comprehension. So in that case, I will just laugh. 🤣

We already have gone over it like 10 times. White people commit 3.6 million more overall crimes and almost 100,000 more violent crimes. You even acknowledged this. Yet, more POC have been killed yearly than white people at the hand of police. Hundreds more in some years. Black people are killed far more often by police than the crimes numbers indicate should happen. Many of them weren't even the ones breaking the law in the first place. Not to mention the black death number and numbers for all POC is rising, while the white death number has lowered dramatically. Again, that shouldn't be the case.
"Black people are killed far more often by police than the crimes numbers indicate should happen." I have shown calculations that prove this is a false statement. Show me your math that supports this. Saying white people commit almost 100,000 more violent crimes than black people doesn't support that statement, even though you may want it to. If your statement were true, white people would commit 4.9 times the number of violent crime that black people do. In other words, they would commit 600,000 more violent crime than black people. But they don't. So the rate at which white people commit violent crime is lower than the rate black people commit violent crime and therefore, we would expect the rate at which white people are killed by police to also be lower, and it is.

But that is not true. More white people are killed by police than blacks, but they are killed in proportion to the violent crime they commit, as you would expect. That's why I keep asking you to show your math. I have divided everything out for you already, but you keep saying things that contradict the math. So show me the math. Don't explain it. Take the numbers and show me that the rate at which black people are killed by police is significantly higher than the rate rate at which they commit violent crime. Stop avoiding the issue show us the math that proves your point.

I have shown it to you. They commit 100,000 less violent offense and 3.6 million less overall offenses. Therefore, they have far less interactions with police, roughly 3.7 million yearly. However, POC overall are killed more by police than whites and black people are disproportionately killed by police compared to whites. It is very possible they are killed more overall than white people, depending on those listed as unknown.

It is very possible white people do commit that level of crime. We know that they are less profiled, targeted, arrested, tried, convicted, and incarcerated much more frequently and severely than their white counterparts.

But white people do commit crimes at much higher rates than black people. Violent and non-violent. Whether you want to acknowledge that or not it irrelevant to reality.

Again, I ask, what caused the deadly interactions of George Floyd, Eric Garner, Philando Castille, Atatina Jefferson. Breonna Taylor, Stephon Clark, Botham Jean, Alton Sterling, Michelle Cusseaux, Freddie Gray, Eric Garner, Akai Gurley, Tamir Rice, Tanisha Anderson to name a few?

Of course it is true, you just don't want it to be.

They aren't though. Black people are killed far more often by police, as are all people of color. It happens so often, police can't even identify the race from a large portion of them. Which only further skews your numbers. You literally have unknown factors and are trying to give a factual analysis based off that. Anyone with a basic understanding of math would comprehend that much. Sheesh.

I have shown you like 15 times now. When black people commit 100,000 less violent crimes annually, 3.6 million less crimes overall and are coming withing the total number of deaths as white people, that highlights it pretty clearly. When you factor in more POC are actually killed by cops annually, even though white people commit more crimes, that proves the truth even more. No matter how you slice it, being non-white in this country makes you that much more likely to be a victim of negative actions at the hands of police.

White violent crime: 241,063
Black violent crime: 153,340

White crime overall: 5,858,330
Black crime overall: 2,263,112

Also, including all POC: 2,563,131 yet, somehow, far more POC died than whites at the hands of police the last 4 years.

You can't be this clueless about math. Committing 100,000 less violent crimes is not a rate. 3.6 million less crime overall is not a rate. Neither of those are rates so they can't speak to the rate at which each race is killed by police. Put all your information in terms of rates and let's see what you get. Otherwise, you are just making yourself look a like a fool, but it's fun watching you do it.

You cannot reason with unreasonable people, and you particularly cannot use logic and reasoned argument with people who are unfamiliar with critical thinking.

Which is who these people are, that, and they are dishonest. That real academics of integrity let this sort of unscientific nonsense pervade the humanities is a real disservice to universities. The generation they exploited by cheap loans, saddled with useless degrees now taking to the streets in anger, can't afford to live in cities due to the mounds of debt they incurred to learn BS unfalsifiable theory based entirely on flawed logic and circular reasoning when they could've learned maths, been immune to these deceptive opportunistic arguments, and earned a livable urban wage.

Who really pays the price here? It's violence and shots in the streets like last night in Wisconsin, or people with criminal records constantly being told the police are their enemy justifying their refusal to cooperate with lawful orders, and a brainwashed generation, bitter and violent in defense of the lies they were taught.

All the while, lawyers and politicians, failed pseudo disciplines and academia, the media and some corporations too, laughing all the way to the bank.

I don't think the criminal from last night was part of the group you are referencing. He was a 17 year old kid, who obviously took someone else's assault rifle to provide his version of vigilante justice that he likely acquired from the McCloskeys of the world. A white kid nonetheless.

Wow, if you believe those are rates, please do us all a favor and tell us what high school you went to, and if you went to college, what college you went to, so we can make sure our kids and grand kids don't go there.

A rate, per Merrium-Webster is:

a quantity, amount, or degree of something measured per unit of something elseher typing rate was 80 words per minute
b: an amount of payment or charge based on another amountspecifically : the amount of premium per unit of insurance
2a: a charge, payment, or price fixed according to a ratio, scale, or standard: such as
(1): a charge per unit of a public-service commodity
(2): a charge per unit of freight or passenger service
(3): a unit charge or ratio used in assessing property taxes
(4)British : a local tax
b: a fixed ratio between two things
3a: reckoned value : VALUATION
bobsolete : ESTIMATION
4: relative condition or quality : CLASS
5obsolete : a fixed quantity

None of your numbers are rates because they aren't per unit or ratios of anything else.

I doubt both of those, but if that is the case, then I would suggest that neither of those schools are doing a very good job educating people. You might want to request a refund of your tuition.

I would suggest that rankings can't really capture what is taking place in the classroom, so they have very limited value outside of entertainment. Perhaps you are an English major or something like that, but it still doesn't excuse the fact that you know next to nothing about math. That rests with the schools you attended.

You answered your own question. The violent crime rate for white people in your example is 241,063/197,000,000 = .00122. The violent crime rate for black people is 153,340/40,200,000=.00355. So the violent crime rate is 2.91 times higher for blacks than whites. Once again, those rates will have more to do with the rates at which each race is killed by police.

Wait so lemme get this straight. You can use the white violent crime rate as an overall number but not for the amount of whites killed by police which is significantly higher. That has to be adjusted to population to meet their narrative. However, in the same damn breath they use the African American violent crime number as a percentage of population not a whole. BS number bending crap to fit a straw man argument at best. I’m starting to agree there are a couple posters who are just arguing to argue and making shite up as they go.

Kudos To you for pointing out the hypocrisy and double talk. Assume they will ignore your post as it essentially shuts down their argument. The Wash Post has been compiling this data for years. If a leftie refuses to use the WAPO for reference you know they are desperate. There is ZERO doubt if looking at total number of police encounters as a basis of argument that the overall deaths of black men at the hands of the police is NOT above any other race. The BS narrative of white cops hunting anyone down based on race doesn’t hold water under any significant scrutiny.

But keep pushing the envelope dems. All Kenosha & Portland does is shift all the minds of the silent majority out there away from you. A lot of independents may not admit it but they are scared shiteless of what a dem controlled country looks like. As am I.

In public schools, most rankings are based off test scores. So I would say that is a pretty good metric for measuring for what is taking place. Granted, some students are great test takers, but in general, most peoples results would ne measurable.

I think I am pretty good at math. I have always tested pretty well, even on the SAT and ACT. I just don't fall prey to manipulated data like you were hoping.

You realize WAPO agrees that black people are disproportionately more likely to be killed by police, right?

Lol, you realize all of this is literally happening in Trumps America, right? It's kind of hard to blame this on democrats when Republicans control the country.

Also, I am not sure if you have seen the reports or not, but for the first 2 nights of the RNC, it is a few million viewers below the DNC last week. That is really problematic for someone who is banking on the enthusiasm of his base. Not only are they not watching, he doesn't appear to be gaining with any other voters. It is also somewhat troubling considering he is literally the reality TV star and hired his Apprentice producers to run the RNC broadcast. Trump isn't happy to say the least.

That's laughable. You can say anything on message board and there is no way of really knowing if it is true or not. However, you have put on display your lack of math skills, so there is no hiding from it. You can't even calculate violent crime rates per racial member or police killing rates per racial member. You don't understand why looking at total numbers can't tell us anything about differences between racial groups. You don't understand why it's important to look at rates when comparing and contrasting data. You can say anything you want, but there is no way someone with the lack of understanding of math that you have demonstrated today tested well in math on the SAT or ACT.

At this point u are being intentionally obtuse I would guess. I’m not gonna debate this as you have been throughly owned by the other poster in this thread. He has consistently, and much more patiently than I, tried to explain to you that it’s not based on overall numbers rather the rate of the population vs their police interactions.

You have double talked and walked yourself into a corner here and yet you still refuse to acknowledge the basic premise and keep spouting the same nonsense. I won’t waste my time with you. He has done a far better job than I could anyhow of making you look silly.

But, please continue I have enjoyed watching you run circles around yourself.

I would say it's not. Testing in public schools corresponds very closely to the percent of kids who receive free and reduced lunch. The larger that percent, generally the lower the test scores. It has very little relationship to how good the instruction is in the classroom. Measuring the quality of instruction is extremely difficult to do, and I'm not aware of any ranking system that actually does that.

Lol, well sure it does. Just being poor doesn't mean someone can't learn or test well. I will agree that higher poverty rates correspond to lower-performing schools, but that is generally because they get students from families who don't put an importance on education. Even among the top-rated high schools in the country mine did well. Massachusets has some of the highest performing schools in the nation. Mine was among the top 5. Also, SAT and ACT aren't really impacted by poverty. Still did well there. Not to mention I had to take a few Math courses in college. Again, always did quite well.

Sure I can and sure I do. Again, you just saying that doesn't make it true.

You are the one who seems to be struggling with the math and ratios.

Lol, how do you get owned on the internet? HAHA, I think you may take this whole message board thing a bit too seriously. 🤣

How have I double talked or walked myself into a corner? So far it seems like I have just debated with a bunch of angry white dudes who are afraid of admitting reality.
