Oh I definitely agree that he hit some really big shots for us last year. He’s also a much better shooter than his 33% clip last year. That’s why I’m saying he still has a lot to prove in the games as far as consistency with his 3 ball.
Just put me down in the category of : "I'm just gonna' love watching this team absolutely scorch the nets off the rims." 
Vastly underrated shooting squad. If they only shoot marginally decent as a team, they're going to obliterate some good teams this year. This team should really be defensively vastly superior to last year's team composition. Depth is incredible. There are going to be a lot of opportunity for guys to earn quality PT. Everyone will have a role. They can be good, even great roles yet to be filled.
Gotta love the direction.

Unfortunately they’re gonna get recruited over. Unless we get a Braden Smith type or somebody who takes massive leaps in production. But look at the 26 class. Chandler and Noah are already being recruited over. We’re going after and truly in on kids like Smith. Rippey. Tay. Holt. Alozie at the 1 and 2. Not to mention Jasper. Lowe could both return. Then a bunch of 3’s. Stokes who prolly plays the 4. But we’ll get one of Thompson. Adams. Howard or Cloer. I’m guessing Maximo or Thompson. Then Kam could return. Then there’s the portal. So basically they’re MIGHT be one bench spot open for ONE of Noah and Chandler. Baring a big time breakout year

Trent is supposed to be playing for South Carolina. The only reason he is on our roster is because he was from Kentucky. Pope wanted some Kentucky boys to show the others how passionate Kentucky people are about basketball. Whatever we get from him is a cherry on top bonus.
Unfortunately that thinking didn’t work out with Perry. Everyone has their reasons. Perry is from a well off family and doesn’t need the Kentucky legacy to ensure his future. He transferred for playing time. I can’t see a 6 foot, slow white player successful in the SEC. He will most likely regret his decision.

I love the vast size of our fan base. It's cool to run into UK fans everywhere I go. But I'd rather our fan base be half its size if it meant we didn't have fans like you who trash our players on a public forum.

Fact: Trent was committed to SC. Pope would have never taken him if not for his Kentucky roots. He would have never known he existed. He didn’t go out looking for 3 star freshmen that were committed to other schools.

Trent’s a nice player. We’ll know more about his trajectory by the end of this season. Being an elite shooter, at this level, is as much about court awareness, quick release and shot selection as pure shooting. I like Trent’s game even if he’s not Steph Curry.
