I think all three of Perry, Noah, and Chandler played very well given the circumstances. Not perfect by any means, and there were a few boneheaded plays or lapses, but they fought. Not counting Carr nine guys got minutes tonight. If this were Cal neither of those three freshmen would have gotten any minutes at all and he would have stuck with a six or seven man rotation. All three seemed to play with confidence too, something bench/project type freshmen with Cal never did.

Nice strides being made, by everyone involved.

I wonder if he would have developed so if Kriisa had not been injured ? Or as much ? I dunno, but it sure a great thing to see.

I’ll take him over Chandler. Chandler is unplayable and I’ve not seen anything that makes me think he can play here. Hope I’m wrong.
Chandler defended on Lanier better than anyone and his floor game is scrappy. Still a bit lost and out of synch on the offensive end but that will eventually come around. You can't teach his length and athleticism.

He really did play a great defensive game that is being massively overlooked by many.

Showed a little ability to create off the bounce for other too which is something this team struggles with outside of Lamont and oweh

Kentucky and players from Eastern Kentucky Area, you just have too much tradition there. Noah is the next guy to write his story. Something majestic about a kid from eastern Kentucky getting to play for the state school. Hopefully he continues to make Pope play him. Hopefully Pope can continue to bring him along. Noah after all built the Ark, repopulated the earth and so forth. He should be able to put the ball in the basket, play defense and such.

He plays focused and smart defense. He has a freshman body but a senior mentality.

Glad someone else watched the game half these guys on here wouldn’t know if someone played good or not
Chandler flat locked Lanier up the one jumper he did hit on Chandler he was right in his grill

Noah is a Kon Kneuppel type…a heady player with size who isn’t scared and hustles his *** off. Oh, and can stick it in your eye too and will pull up off the dribble. They both remind me of Pat Connaughton from Notre Dame a few years back.

Harlan County my friends....we on the map
If you get a chance, go listen to Pope's postgame and how he talks about Noah at about the 10:00 mark. He talks well about all his players of course, but you can just tell that he thinks Noah is going to be a Dude - and he's a little surprised by how much so. For example: "I keep saying this publicly, but of course nobody believes me because I'm not putting him in the game. I've got so much confidence in him. He's a really good player. He does not fear the moment." He plays hard." "He's like a sponge."

Getting more confident with playing time, he makes the right play and is a deadly shooter. I worry about Perry though, fear he’s going to be a spot up shooter only & chandler can defend and maybe that’s where he can gain some confidence and contribute like tonight.
