I could name names, but those people know who they are.

Was this game inexcusable? Sure was.

Does this offset everything HCNB has done right this year? No way.

HCNB was given an impossibility short recruitment cycle, NO talent on offense and significant defections on defense. Despite that and a subpar year from Austin Kendall, we have been in games
(Texas and Baylor) that we had no business being in. A consistent pattern of second half adjustments also shows he has a good read on what the other team is doing.

This game was a turd. It happens. No reason to feed the trolls, they will be gone next year.

I promise.

I agree.

I believe Dana left us with some talent. Its there in spots, not so much in others. Where he really hurt us is with experience. We were going into this season with inexperienced players in 7 or 8 out of 11 offensive positions; a little less on the defensive side, and it shows.

Can't really blame him, though. He was coaching for his job for the next several years. The only chance he had of getting that extension was somehow getting to the B12 championship or better. When that was lost, he knew what he would have coming back - inexperience - and what that would entail. He left for Houston accordingly while he still could.

To add, all of this was last year when every school in the B12 was breaking in a new QB except for two, and one of them was us.

This year, its our turn to go through those growing pains. There are too many variables all adding up to our losses, as seemingly every week its a different combination that rears its ugly head to lead us to defeat. Just when you think you've got something fixed, something else pops up. It's frustrating all around.

But, they all boil down to youth, lack of strength, and inexperience for the most part.

With Dana, that first year led to unrealistic expectations for him that turned a lot of the fan base against him early. With Brown, he'll get a pass this year but next year MUST be better all the way around. There will be those who will have unrealistic expectations, but the excuses for not going at least .500 or so will run out quickly.

Just to play along. What ya s Brown done that literally any coach in America couldn’t have done. When he got here did he jump start recruiting with any legit flips or power signings? Nope! Did he secure the existing team and lead them through staff transition? Nope! Did Brown secure a solid to good recruiting class to sign in December? Nope! Did he win at an acceptable level? Nope! Any reason to be optimistic for the close of the recruiting class? Nope! Any reason to be optimistic for a breakthrough season next year if you’re not a homer?

I'd respond to him but I'm not responding to trolls, especially the lame ones who write the same old tired lines ad nauseum. He already used his "troll fanboy line" on us, its his go to line. I doubt he has anything left to offer.

Yes it has.

It's hard for true WVU fans to have even a remotely civil discussion about our team without trolls destroying the thread. Then, the true fans want to go off on them which just multiplies the problem. If we could just get folks to ignore them it would be a great start but its hard, we all want to jump in with our two cents.

If this is a business model to get folks over to the Blue Lot I fail to see how it could work. Why would anyone want to pay money if the trolls are over there also? Why would you kick off someone for posting the same asinine stuff over there they do here if they are paying money? Wouldn't you want a place where civil discussion and discord can happen but the CONTENT is what you pay for?

I would think a "cleaner" free board would cause one to want to buy the content.

But, its not my board. I guess I could start one myself if I had the inclination which I don't. Just some food for thought.

Easy to say that haha. I don’t make predictions generally. I give my opinions after the fact. So far Brown is a disaster by any metric. The fanboys on here distract by attacking a good standing member. So sad.

I try to bring up excellent points about a program in disarray because of a shaky hire and an AD that is marketing the university to accept losing then the trolls come out and verbally abuse my handle. It’s rude! Just looking for some guidance from a respected member that I respect.
