Isn’t Rhules extension based on his job performance? I thought I read somewhere that he gets paid more for winning a number of games he gets more for winning the big 10 championships and more if he makes the playoffs

What if Penn State would have hired Matt Rhule? We would really be screwed then. They did what they had to do to keep Matt Rhule locked in.
If Penn State had any serious interest in Rhule, the extra $10 million added to his buyout would not have even been a speed bump.

Are you also gullible enough to believe the I-couldn’t-leave-because-my-daughter-cried story?

True story. One of my fraternity brothers got put on academic probation. He had a 0.0 Gpa one semester and a sub 1 GPA. NU kept taking his money🤣. Party animal.
So to cheer him up did you all throw a Toga party?

Rhule can go 0-for-the-decade, get fired, and still collect 90% of the amount left on his contract. That was the case before the extension, and it still is after the extension.

There are some bonus provisions he will never collect, but he has to win exactly zero games to get his golden parachute. If that seems “performance-based” to you, so be it.

We are really screwed NOW.

BECAUSE Penn State did not hire him.

Could have got out of the remainder of that contract scot free.

Instead of hitting the reset button this season (got blown out every game down the stretch anyway) we get to watch this **** show 1-3 more years before resetting it.

That's why performance reviews should be done closer to the end of the year lol.
The transfer portal has sped up everything. When you can potentially lose all your starters before December, it forces ADs to consider the options before the season ends.
