I am listening to the first audio clip and these 2 guys are BEWILDERED that Dannen would consider ISU (Big 10 to Big 12).

Dannen knows he screwed up royally with the extension. He has no answer for it because there IS no answer for it. He cooked his chance to pick the next football coach because that was his next choice - extending Rhule. Listening to him ask for money turns the stomachs of many because his rep is shot. JMO of course.

I give him props for seeing the writing on the wall (if he does leave).

I think Troy is a solid AD . He had a history of hiring decent coaches at Tulane ( Willie Fritz ) and Washington( Jeb Fisch) but I agree the extension put him behind the eight ball .if Rhule can somehow win 8 games this year it takes the immediate heat off . Then ISU can name him early in 27 as a replacement and nobody is the wiser .

You’re going at the perfect time. The height of tourist season ends about Oct 1st. We went about Oct 6th for a week. Had rain finally the day we left otherwise the weather was perfect. The only downside is some stuff shuts down in the tourist areas for the winter as you probably know.
