With his presidential hopes sinking following his appalling comments about women, GOP nominee Donald Trump is watching former supporters abandon ship at an alarming rate.

Saturday morning, Trump’s former policy coordinator, Pratik Chougule bluntly announced: “Under no circumstances will I support Donald Trump for president.”

Writing at the LinkedIn, the managing editor of the National Interest stated: “I regret my decision last April to join the campaign as policy coordinator. Although I left the campaign in August for a variety of reasons, I wish that I had done so sooner and spoken out more forcefully against a candidate who embodies the worst excesses of our culture.”

And these folks would rather have four more years of Obama policies and know that the one occupying the White House is a a danger to our security and cannot be trusted with ANYTHING? Really. Trump, as a private citizen and a TV personality/entertainer SAUD some very personal things that have been made public. Hillary (and her spouse) have DONE numerous things that should never be condoned of a public servant. Are these holier than thou former 'friends' or associates more interested in what might have been said to, what was considered a private audience, or what we have all observed as the mode of operation that is dangerous to individuals and the entire Country? I can dismiss speech. I fear actions.

Nixon....perhaps?

Nixon erased 18 minutes of tape. Ther'es nothing else that Nixon has ever been accused of. Hiliary has shown a 30 year contempt for people with her lies. nobody died from Nixon's 18 mins erased tapes, how many people have died being around the clintons?

True...however, look at some of the things Nixon told the American people about Vietnam and how many deaths resulted from what happened?

Nixon lost the closest Presidental race up till then. Many wanted him to contest the election, the first Gore, over election results from Calif, Illonois and NY. Chicago was known to be crooked for the dems, but Nixon choose not to. That may have led to his paranoia and the watergate.

JFK got us into it, LBJ completely blew the lid off it and Nixon finally go us out of it. Of course, just like when Obama turned tail and ran, us getting out showed that the South Vietnamese to be as competent as the Iraqis at defending their country. History did repeat itself. I remember a lot from the time since I turned 18 in 72. Luckily, my draft number was about 270.

The lesson's from that "police' action is that you don't fight a police action. When we drove Sadam out of Kuwait, we did it with overwhelming force. If we had fought the VC without worry about collateral damage and trepidation, we could have ended that war earlier and better. When Nixon resumed the bombing of Hanoi, it brought those rice eaters back to the negotiating table. My apologies to Back to School.

Come on, man. You are a better person than that.

No, Eisenhower got us in to it. People like to point blame on the Democrats for Vietnam. Sure, it was a Democrat (Johnson) that escalated it. But it was Eisenhower that started that "Vietnam situation", as it was referred to by both Eisenhower and JFK.

President Eisenhower sent the first American troops in to South Vietnam to "advise" them in their fight against the North.....and it was Eisenhower's adopting of the "domino theory" that would take over as America's main foreign policy goal (containment was a thing of the past).
