They just don't care.

People will seek only knowledge that confirms their personal narrative. The dossier was NOT leaked by the IC (no matter what Clapper says). The dossier was distributed to many people prior to the intelligence briefing. The "official" that was CNN ' s source for reporting that the synopsis was included in the briefings did not reveal any classified information other than the fact that a synopsis was a part of that briefing. No information on the synopsis was revealed by that official.
"But by gawd dem dar better get dem house in order and get some damn law and order again".

I don't really believe any of the dossier. Maybe the Carter Page accusations have legs, maybe not. If it were even close to true, I think the author would be front and center defending the work. What concerns me is the fact that the IC chose to include it. It proves that there is something concerning in the Trump - Russia relationship.

The blind love Americans feel for this billionaire is beyond me. Just because he is not PC? Because he is crass? Because he can save the economy? How is this ego wearing a suit and a comb over convincing Americans he is "for the people" from his golden tower?

But to be fair: it's crazy to fall for a President that rammed the ACA through Congress when still a majority of people deem it too costly and unsustainable, gave the bank away to Iran, fought against American values of rugged individualism and free will, was in a constant state of war, spied on Americans without warrant, contributed to Arab Spring and the Syrian mess, left Iraq in a state of turmoil, blindly accepts Middle Eastern immigrants without knowing who they are, and caused turmoil for police nationwide

FIFY
But he did get Bin Laden.

I'm saying: Obama appears to be calculating, calm, empathetic, and speaks in ways that people connect with----I'm not saying anyone should love the man----I'm saying I understand why people do.

I don't get it with Trump

What is it you love about Trump?
The only redeeming quality I see in his being elected are Mattis, SCOTUS appointments, and DeVos.

As to the point of Obama, what you said was "The Black guy spoke well". He was woefully unqualified for the office and it was a travesty he was elected evidenced by the absolute abysmal state we find our foreign policy. There are few places in the world better off after his Presidency.

Evangelicals love him because he grabs *****, commits adultery, has been married multiple times, cusses like a sailor, and is a narcissistic, egomaniac. Just like Jesus!

Obviously you know more about Mattis and his possible effect than I could. DeVos? Couldn't agree less. SCOTUS? Is that about guns or abortion?

Being serious here, so ignore the normal trolling me who just likes to have fun with you guys.

I urge you, for the sake of yourself and children to not to look at people calling themselves Christians. We are all failures when it comes to being Christ like. Please read the bible yourself with an open mind Doc. In the end every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess.

My mother who was in education does as well. I personally think the current status of our education department is woefully lacking. Some of that I place on the feet of the Teacher's union, some of it is owned by the parents or lack thereof in a lot of cases. I want to see us try something different.

Mattis is a warrior god. He was one of the most impressive combat commanders I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Your characterizations of why I would support SCOTUS are disgusting. You sound like Obama quipping about the guns and religion. While I'm a strong proponent of the 2nd amendment and make no apologies for that, it has absolutely nothing to do with my position. I believe the SCOTUS should not create law from the bench, nor should they interject academic progressiveness in reshaping the country's identity away from original intent of law except in circumstances that are violate civil rights. I prefer originalists who where to the law and not political idealism. The reality of us having the sheer amount of split decisions within the court concern me. That tells me political opinion plays into their decisions. That's a problem.

SCOTUS... SCOTUS.... SCOTUS for me.

Hearing Protection Act is a nice plus, as the possibility of national reciprocity for CC.

I've heard this argument before, and I'm of the same mind I guess. The problem I have is....I always hear the argument from someone that sees guns, abortion, or homosexuality as a major part of their thinking. I like States rights more than most on the left, but the court sometimes has to step in and make things happen (because of the potential political fallout that scares away congressmen and women -- civil rights). And with privacy becoming more and more of an issue, congress doesn't want to get into anything controversial usually. But overall, I like moderation on the court.

Education is a mess. NCLB didn't help, I can say that firmly having taught in Florida. Students will get lost if we move to privatization. And the best teachers will be moved out of public. Doing a little of both will hurt I think. But you're right: I'm not forbthe union, and I'm all for teachers reaching into communities and almost forcing parents to step the $&#% up!

That is my problem with the court and the way it's viewed and used as a political tool now. Maybe it always has been, I don't know. I know a lot of people that voted for Trump just so there wouldn't be another liberal SCOTUS appointee and to hopefully ensure the next one would be conservative. I have major issues with that all the way around. The SCOTUS shouldn't be there to push agendas, but should be non-partisan and look at each issue objectively. That's why they are lifetime appointments, so they wouldn't feel the need to bow to any political pressures and remain objective.

My thoughts on it were one party has stated they were trying to fundamentally transform our country, I don't want it transformed.
