Trump did make sure to get that letter out there though didn't he....so the world could read how Comey told him "numerous times" that he wasn't the subject of any investigation.
As I understand the info last night there was a text or email sent along with a hand delivered hard copy to Comey's office. So, efforts were made to inform him. I have some doubt that he was 'blind sided '. But that scenario better fits the agenda of some who live to say or do something that might do some type of harm to DT.
It's not about the person being fired, it's about the type of manager you are. At the LEAST it should've been by video conference.
I have no idea what the complete story is. I do know that when many executives are fired by a company, they send security guards to that office to ensure nothing inappropriate is taken. Perhaps, they knew Comey was out of town and it made it easier for officials to secure information and assets that were the property of the government, less embarrassment for Comey.
It's also possible they just simply screwed this up.
He was a multibillionaire businessman who's employees by most accounts liked working for him. This wasn't about what type of manager he is, it was about humiliating Comey the Dems who are suddenly appalled, and putting the fear of God into the Clinton camp. Same thing as when we bombed Syria while he was having dessert with the President of China. Why do it in private when you can send a message as well.
Unless he committed a crime, he deserved a respectful termination.
Hell, even Bill Clinton asked William Sessions to resign after it was discovered he had committed fraudulent acts. Sessions declined and then Clinton fired him.
