Ouch, lowest rating ever. This will leave a mark, can't wait for the damage control to start from Trump and the gang.

President Donald Trump's first job-approval rating is in, and it is the lowest an incoming president has ever received.

Only 45% of Americans approve of Trump's job performance over the first three days of his presidency, according to a
Gallup survey released Monday. It's the first time a president has received an initial approval rating under 50% in the history of the poll, which dates back to Dwight Eisenhower's first term in 1953.

I've come to the conclusion that the usual rules of politics just don't apply to Trump. What initially looks bad for him won't necessarily end up bad. What initially looks good for him won't necessarily end up good. There's just no way to know. Things are muddled.

It's a little like that episode of Seinfeld when George decided that every instinct he had was wrong so he was going to start doing the opposite of what his instincts told him. Except that if it was always like that then you could still make progress. With Trump, every time he says or does something your instincts on whether it will help him may or may not be wrong. You just don't know. He's like a random number generator. Trump is the daily number and you can't predict what he'll be each day.
