There’s an element of surprise in Trump’s comments, a hint of bafflement that having responsibility for the welfare of 320 million people entwined in a global economy and international relationships might end up being trickier than running a real estate and branding shop from midtown Manhattan. One group that probably wasn’t surprised that Trump wasn’t prepared? The majority of Americans.

At no point over the course of the 2016 campaign did a majority of Americans think that Trump was qualified for the job of the presidency. Polling from The Post and ABC News shows that views of Trump as unqualified dominated throughout the campaign. The only group that consistently viewed him as qualified to hold the position were the working-class white voters that constituted the core of his support from early in his candidacy.

Can you imagine the racists if Obama had said, "This job is harder than I thought it would be". Who but dipshit pussygrabbing Trump would complain after they won the Presidency. Asshat is giving out maps of the election showing the red and blue states. I'm sure he doesn't consider the margin of victory before coloring all of North and South Dakota, red lol, look how much bigger the red is than the blue, they love me Melania. It's like the cornpone Hee Haw mafia being led by a New York city socialite and his family. Bend over and we will let you grab us Donnie, we don't know your policies and how they will affect us but by God you are one of us, save us from the Brown people.,

It's no big deal. I was on an airplane a while back (United I think), and the captain came out of the cockpit mid-flight and said "this flying thing is tougher than We thought"......didn't seem to bother anyone. I hear it happens all the time in the military too. Generals letting the entire division know that leading is harder than they thought. It's just honesty. We all know he's a straight shooter

Yep, you never want to hear your defense attorney say "this practicing law is tougher than I thought."

Nobody is really "qualified" to be president except maybe somebody who has already been president. Even then, no one man can run a country by himself as he needs quality advisers to help him as he could not know everything about everything. I don't fault Trump for having an optimistic outlook on his ability to accomplish what he set out to do and then realizing it would be more difficult than he thought. I think it's stupid to criticize somebody for being honest.

Honestly, neither did I think he would have such a difficult time. After 8 years of the prior administration failing so badly, you would think some democrat congressmen would appreciate the opportunity to do something positive for our country. Instead, he gets a democrat party marching in lock step with Pelosi and Schmucker. Is it "get even with Republican congress" who blocked bad legislation of Obama, or the voting public who chose Trump over Hillary? I don't think there is a congressman in DC who remotely realizes the unreparable damage they are inflicting on our country. A damned congress made up of teen aged girls desiring to "get even" and to hell with consequences. Don't even attempt to think in racial terms. He was illequiped to perform the required duties as administrator, and he did not learn much over eight years in the seat.

Do you not see how stupid that comment is or is your face pressed against the federal teat so tightly you're having trouble getting oxygen to your brain?
This is the sad truth regarding the left is that way too many feel like government exists to be their mom.
