Morning Consult reported:

As political journalists prepare to gather at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on Saturday to celebrate their work, a new Morning Consult poll is likely to make many of them cringe.

In the new poll, roughly half (51 percent) of Americans said the national political media “is out of touch with everyday Americans,” compared with 28 percent who said it “understand the issues everyday Americans are facing.”

President Donald Trump, a frequent public antagonist of the press and the first president in 36 years to skip the confab, is also slightly more trusted than the national political media. Thirty-seven percent of Americans said they trusted Trump’s White House to tell the truth, while 29 percent opted for the media.

Well, they sure got the election wrong, but with the media held in such low regard, I think this has validity. No one trusts the media. 91% negative coverage is unprecedented and proof of the media's corruption.

I guess if the only American people are the ones that support Trump are Trump supporters. Yeah, he is doing great, it is just the media that is his problem. We should just let him give us all our news.

It is a fake poll and let me show you why. It says 2000 people were polled. Let's assume for a minute the number of democrats polled was exactly equal to the number of republicans polled, 1000 each. That means 840 people believe the WH more (72% + 12%), 640 people believe the media more and 520 people don't know. That results in 42% believing the WH more, 32 % believing the media more and 26% don't know. Yet when looking at the total results, the don't know category result is 34%, closer to the Democrats polled result, which would lead you to the conclusion that more democrats were polled than republicans. But the result for all Americans only shows that 29% believe media more than the WH while if it were equally pollled, the result would be 32%.

Why not speculate. Look up the polls details. Find out how many GOP, Dem and Indy's were polled. 2,000 is a nice sized sample.

Wait a minute...is CR89 trying to lecture about manipulating data in poll taking. [roll]

I'm sure he was super skeptical about all the polls showing Hillary was a shoe in to win, for the exact same reasons. [eyeroll]
