wonder if any of his workers making Trump-branded products in China, Bangladesh, India, and Indonesia will lose their jobs? Could the douchebag be any bigger of a hypocrite?

My understanding is this applies to government spending. Would probably be unconstitutional otherwise. Somehow, I think you knew that, Rabble Rouser. ;)

Donald J. Trump‏ @realDonaldTrump

Why does Obama believe he shouldn't comply with record releases that his predecessors did of their own volition? Hiding something?
No ****, Sherlock. Romney got raked over the coals for $1.45 that went in the wrong column. You gotta think there's all kinds of shady stuff, but not illegal. He pays to many lawyers and accountants to have anything illegal in his returns. He should release them IMO to give the media something to wear themselves out on, all seven years if makes them feel better. The electorate should be pissed of about their own taxes and demand the reforms move forward. With freedom comes a variety of the most stupid group think tanks imaginable. sigh

I don't know that we'll see anything illegal either ... but I do think he's hiding something.

He brags about his wealth and how much he pays in taxes and charitable giving and all of that .... but at the same time he even lies about the number of floors in his buildings ... so if anything I think his returns would show that he doesn't do nearly as much of all of those things as he said he does. (of course, I don't know what good it will do either, it won't surprise the people that don't support him at all, and the ones that do will find a way to discount the findings)

Then there's the Russia stuff. And we gotta be careful here because he does business internationally and we already know he's done business with Russia, so finding this on his returns would do absolutely nothing to prove any kind of collusion in the elections. People will have to expect to see legitimate business dealings in Russia and a lot of other countries too.

However, that brings the conflicts of interest into play again because he refuses to divest himself from his businesses.

It's just how hypocritical he is about so many issues. Blows his loudmouth around so much, then doesn't do what he blows so hard about. He'd have a lot more credibility to me, if he walked the walk on stuff like this

The true test won't come until they deal with the corporate tax rate issue. If they get that done and he still doesn't bring his capital and investments 'home' then you can call him a hypocrite, until then he's a savvy businessman.

No, you can call him a hypocrite already ... because he's telling everybody else to do something that he hasn't even begun to do himself

That and all the times he tweeted about Obama golfing and how he wouldn't, and any number of other things

Are you misinformed on his stance here, or are you lying?
(hint, it's the same as his stance on taxes)

I've seen his tweets on "buy american, hire american" ... if he moves his manufacturing here, I'll change my mind

He's still a hypocrite regardless of that ... which I notice you ignored

I hate these "Buy American" provisions.

Always sounds good on paper, can suck in enacting. There's a building here in the Eastern Panhandle, a federal building, that hasn't been finished in over 3 years and is now being shut down completely. It ran into a stupid "Buy American" provision when coupling for electrical conduit were discovered to have been made overseas. The electrician, at his expense, was forced to remove all wire from conduits, remove all conduits and replace after finding couplings that were made in the US.

It should not have been installed to begin with. Don't cry after the fact. Paperwork (submittals) documenting the place of manufacture should have been submitted and approved before it was installed to begin with. People that complain that it is hard to enact really don't understand the process.

People who've never enacted the process don't know what the **** they're talking about either.

And this is where things get stupid.

Make the contractor pay a fine or some other kind of compensation or something, but don't triple the cost of the project because of it.

This building probably had tenants waiting to move into it ... which probably meant that they had to extend leases when the building wasn't finished or start going month to month at a higher lease rate. Since this was a federal building, it stands to reason that it would be federal tenants, so all of those potential tenants would now be spending more on their current leases ... money that probably wasn't allocated because the federal building was supposed to be complete.

I get the idea behind "buy american", but we have to be logical about this

Hey look voting public, I signed an EO that literally puts America first! See, I'm different....I'm a REAL President and I was honest when I said all that vague stuff on the campaign trail. Liberals are horrible for America, not because of their policies, but just cause I said so. #fakenews #followtrumpblindly

It's an Army Corp of Engineers project. We stayed far away from the project but we know some that haven't been paid in over a year for work they did. Anymore I steer away from Federal work all together because of some of the time wasting and ridiculous regulations they place on the projects. It's just not worth it financially to want to deal with the headaches to barely break even. And don't get me started on the quotas.... I mean set asides.

Unfortunately in these Buy American provisions, small things can slip through the crack at that fault of no one, and in turn increase the cost of the projects to the point that it become counter productive.

Gov't contracting is definitely not cost conscious, it's almost opposite of how you would run a commercial business.
