So was it leaked illegally or was it fake? If it was leaked it was true, hence not fake news. If was fake, then it wasn't true, hence it wasn't a leak.

It was an attempt to further run the "Trump is Putin's b____" narrative. Which noone but the media and their lapdogs believe. It was already reported he did nothing illegal. yet Rather and others are running with, "This is the worst example of political corruption since Watergate, maybe even worse". That's fake news.

Some just want the leaks investigated but I'd rather see a more comprehensive investigation of Russia's involvement in the election.
