This week starts out at the Courtyard Marriott Tournament in Norman.


Friday's games:


Liberty at 11:00am
Western Illinois 1:15pm


Saturday:


Oklahoma at 1:30pm


Sunday:
Liberty at 10:00am


Then back at home:



Tuesday:

Western Illinois at 3:00pm


Wednesday:

Arkansas at 5:00pm

Friday's Results:
Windy day in Norman

Game 1

Tulsa 23
Liberty 1
5 innings

Liberty had 3 hits, 4 LOB and committed 5 errors
Tulsa had 24 hits, 12 LOB and cmmitted 2 errors

Basically looks like Tulsa got a W for taking batting practice, hitting .571 as a team with 4 doubles and 3 HRs

Caitlin Sill pitched the 5 innings givng 1 ER on the 3 hits, 0 walks, and had 6 K.

Game 2

Western Illinois 3
Tulsa 7

Tulsa had 13 hits, 7 LOB, and committed 1 error
WIL had 10 hits, 8 LOB and cmmitted 1 error

Jill Barrett went 3 for 4 scoring once
Shelby Blanton went 2 for 3 scoring once and 1 RBI and 1 walk
Catherine Horner went 3 for 3 scoring once with 2 RBI
Haley Henshaw went 2 for 3 scoring once with 2 RBI and a HR

Aimee Creger - WP on 6 innings giving up 2 runs, 1 ER on 7 hits, 8 K, 1 Walk, and hit a batter
Bailey Erwin pitched the final inning giving up 3 hits, 1 ER, 0 walks, 0 K

Schedule update:

Saturday's game with Oklahoma was postponed until Sunday at 12:30pm

Sunday's game with Liberty was canceled.

A home game was added on Monday at 6:00pm vs. Western Illinois.

Tuesday 3:00 pm vs. Western Illinois and Wednesday 5:00pm vs. Arkansas games are still on.

Tulsa had 2 hits 5 LOB and had 1 error
Oklahoma had 4 hits 5 LOB and 0 errors

Jill Barrett and Maggie Withee had the two Tulsa hits

Aimee Creger pitched the complete game for the loss.

Both pitchers had 11 K, gave up 2 walks, pitched around a bases loaded inning. The difference was 2 hits, one of which was a HR.

Coming up short in a pitcher's duel is a tough loss, but tomorrow is another day.

That line proves Aimee Creger is as good as any pitcher n the country and TU is definitely a top 15-20 team. These teams battle every year and Patti Gasso hopes to avoid TU until a regional final.

Maggie Withee went 1 for 2 with a triple
Cierra Hughes went 1 for 2 with a triple.

Bailey Erwin pitched the 5 innings giving up 7 hits, 0 walks with 4 K.

Tulsa went up one spot in 1 poll and is now ranked 20th in both polls. Nice!

Western IL had 10 hits, 0 errors and 5 LOB

Jill Barrent went 3 for 4, 1 RBI
Jill Royce went 2 for 3, with a HR and RBI
Cierra Hughes went 2 for 4, with a double scored twice, and 1 RBI
Haley Henshaw ws 2 for 2, 2 RBI, and walked twice

Caitlin Sill Went 4 innings giving up 5 ER on 7 hits, 1 walk and 3 K
Bailey Erwin got the win going 3 innings with 1 ER on 3 hits, 1 walk and 1 K

Back and forth game, Tulsa went up scoring 3 in the 2nd. Sill had a rough 3rd giving up 4 runs. IL added 2 more in the 5th to go up 6-3. Tulsa scored 3 to tie it up in the bottom half of the 5th. Henshaw provided the walk off base hit in the final frame.

Arkansas had 5 hits, 1 error and 7 LOB

Catherine Horner went 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI

Aimee Creger pitched 7 innings giving up 1 ER on 5 hits and 3 walks with 13 K

Ending this busy week (Thurs to Wed) Tulsa is now 21-3 heading into conference play.
