Really intrigued by this Arkansas-Michigan game coming up.
If Arkansas loses they won’t have a Q1 or Q2 win in the whole non-conference. Michigan is a very solid team of guys that aren’t stars but you’ll remember from the rest of college basketball the last few years.

Wagner is terrible. I mean I figured he would figure it out at some point but man.
They won’t shoot them either. When will he figure out that you need skilled players especially big men to drag guys out of the post. If they have to rely on Thiero getting hard 2’s all season it won’t work. I would zone Arkansas all night and double everytime Adou catches or deny him the ball. Make someone else score.
Almost 11 minutes into the game and the Hogs have 12 points.

Even less so though honestly. Half of them wanted to go to Kentucky obviously for Cal but it’s still different.
He just doesn’t have it. Like so many Cal guys, he simply out-athleted his HS competition. Now that he can’t do that anymore, there is no foundation of basketball skills to fall back on. I kind of feel bad for the kid because I do think he’s a fine young man. He never seemed like the brightest bulb, but he was very respectful and polite, and represented UK well off the court.
Now that Thiero has shown he can make 3s, I wish he had stayed. Still not missing the other transfers.

Arkansas with a decent comeback. Cal teams get behind, come back and then choke. Look for same n 2nd half.
Not Top 25 but future opponent Brown just handed Rhode Island their first loss. 84-80 on 2OTs.
Looks like Richmond is the odd freshman out with Cal this year. Look for the transfer to Memphis next season. IMO
We are the better team over Arky but I do have slight concern of staying in front of Wagner/Fland if we play straight up m2m. May be a game were we go zone, and/or play under every screen when we are man, clog driving lanes, and dare them to shoot.

Man. With Butler and Oweh? Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t share the concern. Maybe if there’s foul trouble or injury.
Arkansas playing the best they have all season and that isn't saying much.
They are playing well but we saw Cal’s teams here have an occasional game where they were out of their minds only to lay an egg next game. They have a really athletic and a more mature team.
I only started watching this in 2nd half but all the former UK players and Aidoo and Fland look great. Davis is the only one that doesn’t look good
