Hopefully for the last time. I'm in the year round standard time camp. I hate the idea of year round saving time. Darkness at 0830 hours doesn't appeal to me.

That may end up being the only legislation that’s passed by both parties in the next decade!

I personally love it. I don’t want to have darkness until 8:30 AM during the winter and I don’t want to have daylight at 4:30 AM in the summer.

I have my own ideas that we should do away with time zones all together, but I’m the only one who likes that idea.

BTW, if it weren’t for time, everything would happen all at once.

So when it’s 8am in New York it would be 8am in London and Tokyo, etc. all over the world. It’s just that some people would see the sun rise at 7am and some would see sunrise at 2pm, depending where you lived. You would just get used to being on a different schedule. But the time all over the world would be the same time.

I have never really understood the complaints on either side. It doesn't bother me when it's darker in the morning and it doesn't bother me when it gets darker earlier in the evening. I don't see why it would.

Ask a golfer what he thinks about it.

There once was a president that pushed for DST year round because it would be beneficial for folks like golfers, (and also folks that owned golf courses.)
By early January, that would make sunrise in my area occur ~8:30 am when young Children are standing on the side of a cold dark road waiting for school busses. Not a good thing.
Then again, perhaps schools could start at 9:45 am in order to accommodate the golfers of the world. šŸ¤”
