Brent Key has surprised a lot of people with his, thus far, success at GT, which was in the doldrums. One thing I noted in his comments was to simplify things when they needed to be simplified. Key told players that if there is an element of the game they don't understand or unsure about to tell the coaches and it will be considered for removal. That's a huge piece of being able to play fast and confident, according to Key. Sometimes our offense seems to play slow and I wonder if it is too complex and requires too much thinking.

Spurrier always talked about simplifying the play book. To the point of I didn't think we were that stupid.

I think Beamer made a point in correcting that with Satterfield in the 2nd half against KY. Hope it was permanent and Satt got the message.

No, our offense does play slow. There's no "seems" about it. Our offense is slow, plodding, predictable and boring...and often confused. It is a major recruiting liability.
