Noticed that our guards are using the crab dribble getting and probing in the lane. Especially Aberdeen but Chandler Oweh and Johnson are getting in there. Like to see those last 3 to take after DAcand jump up and take that 6 to 10 footer rather than always trying to get to the rim. Flip it in.

Going to need JJ AJ and TN to step up.

I think one of the biggest differences in the success of the offense is this in particular... the guards are just using the ball screens (both high and middle/low positions) at to try and accelerate to the rim. Their patience with the snake/crab dribble is creating easy shots in the lane and/or kick outs for more open 3s.

Interesting fact. We've played most of the season without a real PG (Aberdeen is a combo guard). Only 167 out of 760 minutes with Lowe on the court. Yet, this year's team has the lowest TO rate for any UK team in the 2000's, at 9.6 TO/gm. The next lowest was the 2015 team at 10.3. Also last year (where we played at times w/out a PG also) was quite low too, 10.4 which is tied for the 3rd lowest over the past 26 years.

I know our stats will change as we play more SEC games, and the cupcake games weigh less & less. But currently our stats across the board are very similar to last year! Only fractional differences, except 1 less 3/gm at a 3% lower rate, almost 1 more ST/gm, almost 1 less TO/gm.

LEBRON JAMES apparently invented that term.

Wow, thanks for this stat. The players have definitely turned it up after all the pressure; maybe trickle down from staff, who knows

Correct. The real change is we started running zoom again instead of whatever garbage we tried running. That's the only change and we look much better.
