Crazy about ESPN3.
If there's one thing that's clear, it's when you make your choice about how to receive TV programming for the foreseeable future, it better include the full suite of ESPN programming. I'm an old timer who just buys cable TV with the ESPN upcharges and extras. If you're a 20- or 30-something U of L fan who goes in other directions, I can understand the disappointment. But there may be no other good options.
Except maybe befriend old farts like me...

I used to subscribe to the ESPN Package during FB and especially BB when we were in the BE and AAC conference. I did not think it would be necessary now that Louisville is in the ACC and I live in Atlanta. So, my plan is go to the Sports Bar like I did when we were in CUSA.

The ACC would have to raid my bank account, get me fired from my job, move me to Memphis and steal my wife before I would speak badly about them! Still can't believe Jurich pulled that off!
It is not the ACC or any of the conferences, it is ESPN's.
Being selected by the ACC is a thirty year dream come true.

The game is not on ESPN3 in Atlanta. I have watched couple of Louisville FB games this year on ESPN3. In fact, their transmission is much better than in past years. Also, I have no problem getting the SEC Network.

Is this rookie hazing from the ACC?
For those who have trouble with ESPN3, I like to use www.thefirstrow.eu. It usually has all the games for the day.

Also buying roku or chromecast will give you a clearer signal.

My apologies ... I was not as specific as I intended to be. What I meant was that the game is available for live streaming over the Internet on the WatchESPN app.
However, that doesn't really help you because without a subscription to ESPNNews (or the previously mentioned access to someone else's account who does have an ESPNNews subscription), you will be blocked from receiving it even over the WatchESPN app.
Interesting comment about the SEC Network. Definitely a regional difference at work here. You have the SEC Network in Atlanta presumably without needing a special sports package. Meanwhile here in southern Indiana I couldn't get SEC Network last year even with my subscription to an additional sports package. It was only when I called my cable company in August and threatened to switch to ATT Uverse that they relented and gave me the SEC Network at the same rate I was already paying.
No problem. Thanks for all the info. The sports bar is great especially in the afternoon. I'll be on my way home before the night crowd shows up with all their distractions. Also, UofL BB is on ESPN3 and the picture is great.
