Oh I agree, it's weird. It's really weird but I loved the show when it first hit ABC 26+ years ago and I have to see it through the end. It's so David Lynch. The first 3 parts were so goofy at times but I'm hoping it starts to grow legs and comes back down to earth. It's much darker that I would have thought also.

I'm about half way through 3. I don't know any other way to describe it other than weird. I was 6 when it had its first run but I binged it on Netflix last year. That show was way before its time. This is much more bizarre though so far.

I've been rewatching the original series on Netflix. I've got a few episodes left, and then I'll start the new series. I'm really excited to check the new series out. It's difficult to watch some of the original episodes from after the killer was revealed at the beginning of season 2. There's a lot of wacky, corny stuff in the second season.

I also would like to watch the movie. I've never seen it, but Lynch said people should watch that before watching the new series. It's kind of impossible to locate, though. It's not on any streaming services as far as I can tell.

It has been playing a lot on the Showtime channels recently.
