according to Demling on Twitter. Anybody know who they are? Also said UL expects more than 70 visitors.

Hard to blame them sadly. If I were a recruit I'd have a hard time wanting to play for UK right now.

Why wouldn't they want to see that game, its probably the top game of the weekend. Committed kids do that all the time and who can blame them, great seats. On top of that its free and they get treated like kings. With 70 visitors at least 45 of them aren't going to sign with Louisville.

Now I will be the first to admit a coaching change is a top reason for kids to decommit, but just because a kid takes a visit, especially to a big game like the FSU/Louisville game this weekend isn't one of the big reasons.

No. It's the play on the field

If what you are saying is true, Why would those kids commit to Stoops and UK to begin with? His record as a head coach is 12-24, that doesn't exactly scream he is putting a good team on the field. They commit to UK because they like the school, like Stoops and the rest of the staff or they feel they fit in at UK, not because of how well they are doing on the field. If they like the school and feel they fit in there, a coaching change won't matter to them, if they committed to UK because of Stoops and/or his staff obviously a coaching change would force them to at least look at their options.

I wholeheartedly disagree. If you aren't putting a great product on the field then people are going to go elsewhere. They want publicity. Yeah stoops could sell playing time his first few years but they want to be shown nationally

Good recruits, like the fans, are willing to give a coaching staff time to build a winning program. But Stoops is now in his 4th year as head coach and the team is as bad as it was when Joker was fired. Patience from the fans has run out. Hope has faded. Just as fans are checking out, so will the decent recruits.

Yes, there have been 3 and 4 star recruits landed by coach Stoops. But most of those guys committed with the expectation that he would assemble a winning team within a few years. The monumental collapse we are witnessing has pretty much eliminated any hope of him ever assembling a winning team. So the only recruits you can expect him to land going forward are the kind of kids that only get mid-major type offers. Nobody decent is going to want to come here and be a part of this dumpster fire. That is why Stoops must go now, before his presence can damage the program any further.

It's easy to see why they might be doing that right now. I mean just look at Lamar Jackson and Drew Barker. A friend of mine was telling me that his son said that Lamar was a 2 star while Barker was a 4 star. That's coaching folks. What Bobby has done with Lamar is tremendous. Even the most biased UK fans would have to admit that right now they'd rather have 2 star Lamar Jackson over 4 star Drew Barker. That's why kids are looking to Bobby. He can get them better and on the national radar.

Lamar was never a two star player and hopefully none of those UK commits are from the state of Kentucky. I still remember that stunt Elam pulled when Strong visited his home.

Um, my friend and his son are huge UofL fans. His son keeps up with recruiting big time. So yes, Lamar was a 2 star and Barker was a 4 star.

I've never seen a site have him as a 2 star, not saying that he wasn't on one of them but he was a 4 star on rivals and a 3 star on ESPN and 247.

And another 3 star from Scout. Also check the offer list. I don't think he fails anywhere, but maybe Bobby had some hand in lifting him to his current level?

I thought Jackson was a 4 star on some sites?
