Glad Jerome is leaving. Don't know how he will do, but he knows how to play the game. Great awareness, and cocky too. Not fun rooting against him.

Technically Jerome can hire the agent and still withdraw if he then “fires” the agent or no longer requires his services. This is a good rule that has been added. But Jerome should get some late first round looks with a title contender. It would be a good move.

Extremely happy he's gone. Many of us thought that they would be returning the majority of their core except for Hunter. Jerome is a huge loss. Such a smart player that always plays in control.

According to the ESPN article, people in the program are saying he is gone.

Really liked his game. UVA is the perfect example of the good luck necessary to win it all. Guys like Jerome and Guy who are great but stick around 3 years. Guys like Hunter, who might have left last year, but got injured late and came back. Sure, losing Hunter last year facilitated the horrible 1st round loss (which shouldn't have happened anyway), but odds are they dont win it all last year anyway.

Not to mention in E8, F4 and title games the final minute of all regulation all things happening to all go their way and allow them to win. Sure it took skill, focus, cold blooded shots, etc. But still, also took the other teams crapping the bed 3 straight games to end up with the title.

Absolutely. A ton of things have to go just right, especially in single elimination. That is why bitching about us NOT winning a title the last couple of years despite our talent is off base. Yes it sucks, nobody is denying that. 92 Duke doesn't even make it to the FF if Laettner doesn't go 20 for 20 OR, his Tech counts as a Personal, AND Grant doesnt make a perfect pass (play was changed after a failed attempt earlier in the year vs Wake), AND Pitino doesnt leave the inbounds unguarded!

It's not off base to complain about it at all. It far transcends luck here and there. Sometimes coaches don't utilize the best strategies that fit their personnel, for example (I'm not just talking about us, but I'm sure as hell including us). If bad strategy plays a significant role in the less than desired outcome, it's more than reasonable for some to deem that worthy of debate/discussion/frustration.

Jerome seems like the kind of guy who can play a long time in the NBA. I love his skill set. I'll miss watching him play in college....I won't miss watching him play against Duke.

Same. I look at him and feel like I’m watching Tyler Johnson in college again. He just somehow does no wrong.

Bullet, I doubt there is a single person on this board who doesnt have complaints the last few years and every year we dont win it all.
But there is a big difference between complaints and belief that talent is some form of royal decree guaranteeing us championships.

How guy is not on a draft board is beyond me...that dude can shoot but yet duval was on boards and couldn't shoot a lick...why the nba is a joke IMO

Duval wasn't on many draft boards anymore this time last year.

Guy is smallish for an NBA shooting guard.

Just because someone is a better college player, it doesn't equate to them being the better pro.

I understand that...but to not be on a 2nd round mock draft board is ridiculous to me
