On the Governor's Desk
Constitutional Carry (HB4145) has passed both houses and been delivered to the Governor's desk. Governor Tomblin has signaled that he intends to veto this groundbreaking legislation. In response, the legislature has signaled that they will override any veto.

Governor Tomblin is aware of this. Hopefully, with enough phone calls, we can convince him to follow the will of the people, and avoid the embarrassment of having another veto overridden. West Virginia wants our rights recognized.

Call Governor Tomblin's office at (304) 558-2000, and ask him to sign HB4145.

The will of the people? 51% are against it, 38% are for it. All of law enforcement is against it.

Let's just let WVians carry with no training whatsoever and no education of the laws. What could go wrong?

Law enforcement leadership is against it because it takes away the fee associated with permits.

Here's a hint, WVians can already carry with no training whatsoever and no education of the laws. They just can't wear a coat while they do.

Nor can they stick it in their pocket or in their purse, etc.

And most of them have absolutely no clue where they can legally carry concealed and where they can't (at all, where their 2nd amendment right is infringed).

So, was Croc Dundee breaking the law when he put that 10" knife behind his back in NYC? Or when he threw that soup can and knocked out that criminal?[winking]

You're walking on slippery a slope when you play the "will of the people" card. Do you really want to play that game?

Yet they can still freely open carry and not have to pay for some permit.

How about a compromise. Permitting with the class, but strike the fee. Sheriffs would still oppose. I wonder why?

There is so much comedy and, wait for it, hypocrisy in this post.

Because they don't want to have to waste time trying to sort out the good guy with a gun from the bad guys?
