Tons of business relocations to Texas and Florida from California and NY are happening. Even on a smaller scale my cousin left California for Spokane Wash due to cost of living and taxes. Her savings on state income tax, housing and gas is incredible.

Tons of business relocations to Texas and Florida from California and NY are happening. Even on a smaller scale my cousin left California for Spokane Wash due to cost of living and taxes. Her savings on state income tax, housing and gas is incredible.

Have to admit I am surprised how many California, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon license plates I see here daily when I am driving around Florida. The amazing thing to me is you have many of the Wall St banks moving either some operations or all of their operations as well to FL. The tax base is shrinking in a large way for the northern states. You would think they would take notice. My neighbor is furious he is being charged an exit fee to leave NY state and even with all the taxes he pays. It's like a toilet bowl swirling around as the tax base shrinks they have to jack up taxes on the remaining tax base. More businesses and people leave due to higher taxes shrinking the base more and they respond by raising taxes even more. Good Luck to those left up there.
