This was a late push by Georgia to find a home at the Texas Bowl. Way too late on that one. They want A&M at 8-4 who went to Liberty and Music City the past two years. This is what happens when your athletic director shows up unprepared.

How do you vote? If it's using Twitter I have one just never really use it. I only got it to help keep up with recruiting.

Nevermind after i signed in and went to the page it was self explanatory. 80% UK to 20% A&M for the SEC and 59% Miami to 41% Tech for the ACC. If this poll actually has anything to do with the bowl selection as of now it will be UK vs. Miami. Which is the game and opponent I would prefer.

Pretty sure it's just a local news affiliate in Jacksonville

Its not a late push by UGA, its a bowl game because everyone with a winning record gets one, even some without a winning record gets one. We were a 10 win team in 14 and 15 and got the Belk and Taxslayer bowls, so as a possible 8 win team I ain't expecting much, wouldn't be upset at all if we rejected the Shreveport bowl and stayed home. Someone posted here a couple days ago we got bumped up in bowl games, that couldn't be farther from the truth, teams we beat the last few years who had worse records got better bowl options than we did. But when you are a 7-5 team you got no arguements for a better bowl. We will be better next year, find a couple of OTs during the off season or signing day and we will be playing for the SEC championship and playoff berth. If we don't, we will be playing for the belk bowl again.

Dawgs howl always. Grumpy is a good analyst of UGA football that seems to ride a wave of good, better and average. The modern day SEC would be frustrating for Vince Dooley.

How funny! Texas A&M would bring 38 fans. It would take an absolute imbecile to choose them over the 50,000+ Cat fans.

I'm sure you realize that UGA's best bowl possibility is Liberty by now. I can't fault the AD for trying to get into the Texas Bowl. I'm just saying that UK's AD saw a window and sold the farm on a trip to Taxslayer which in turn has royally screwed Georgia over. Georgia should have asked that Texas A&M be sent to the Outback allowing them to go to the Texas Bowl. In that scenario Arkansas would have gotten Taxslayer and UK goes to Belk. But he didn't, and now UGA is at the mercy of the SEC and Vandy bowl ticket buyers.

Dooley would do pretty well, he would run the ball, control the clock and play defense. Regardless of rule changes to help the offense over the years, if you can run the ball when everyone knows you are going to run it, play defense and not give up the big play you are going to win an awful lot of games, they may not be crowd pleasers, but as long as you have more points does it matter? Dooley Teams would have kept all these high scoring offenses on the sidelines, just like Bear would have and punished their defenses.
