Great players do not make great announcers or coaches most of the time. A few outliers like Johnny Miller (who also rubbed folks the wrong way). Butch Harmon is the best coach in the world but was an average player in comparison to the best during his prime. Brandel has forgotten more about golf than I know. They are paid to give takes (good and bad). It’s part of the gig. Some are more annoying than others. Just like no talent fat *** sports writers who critique the best at their sport.

Once again Chamblee was very respectful and impressed with Bryson. I thought he spoke glowingly about him. The good fortune thing was true. His driving percentage based on past winners was way worse. He wasn’t meaning it to be yeah he was lucky he won, he was pointing out a true fact. The guy truly did draw some favorable lies with all the times he was in the waste area, it’s ok to point that out.

Thought Brandel was fine. Paul McGinley who never won anything of importance (outside the Ryder Cup) is annoying as it gets.
Why can’t Irish people speak English clearly? It’s crazy. Still have a headache from the two Irish goobers on Sirius’ US Open coverage.

Sam Snead also missed a two and a half foot putt on the last hole to lose the 1947 US Open.

Must be a US Open curse. Mickelson (2nd six times) and Snead (2nd four times) never won a US Open.

This is a gd clownshow

Totally agree. Can’t see how they can determine the break like that. Look at it from behind and then hit the putt for crying out loud. Homa looks like a toddler with a load in his pants as he walks around trying that stupid aim point. Slows the game down too.
