If you're a college basketball fan, turn this game on. It's back-and-forth....and very fast. Two pretty good teams, too.

UCLA up 12 right now --- 67-55 --- still almost 14 minutes left.

Foul trouble could be an issue down the stretch for the Bruins.

Rupp is pretty quiet right now. Their fans seem a little stunned.

This is a fun game to watch. UCLA has a complete team that I could see making a deep run.

UK is really good, don't get me wrong....but they haven't impressed me as much as I thought they would.

They just said this is the most points scored from a visiting team ever to come in Rupp.

Does Leaf remind anyone else of Christian Laettner? And how about Ball and Tyus comparision?

Our 2 point loss to Kansas doesn't look as bad since the Hoosiers beat the cheats and the Bruins got the Cats at Rupp..

I don't think he's that great of a player, either. As an opponent I'm letting him shoot 30-footers whenever he wants....because he'll take them.
He's a weird player because I do think he adds value on both ends of the floor...but he is such an extreme liability on the perimeter on offense.

Very impressed with UCLA I didn't expect them to do that well at Rupp. They look like a team that can be their at the end

Well that was a swift kick in the nuts. According to their game thread they were going to blow the doors off UCLA if they went up tempo. Great game by UCLA.

.

Ball kind of reminds me of Rivers with PG skills, the way he shoots and moves on the court. And actually the guy who reminds me of Tyus is De'Arron Fox.

I didn't mean it to sound like he isn't good. He definitely does some things well...including being a good defender. But he's the kind of player who has a few weaknesses but doesn't play as if he does. He took some really stupid shots down the wire and had a couple bad turnovers. He's a 4-year player who thinks he should have been gone after last season.

The refs. There is an entire thread at RR about the refs. They were playing at home. Yet it's the refs. Gary-7 agrees

UK isn't as deep as they need to be to play the style they want to play. People say that this team is the best one since 12; no way they beat the team from 2 years ago. Also, UCLA did a smart thing by putting most players back on D on offensive FT's. It really slowed UK's transition.

They would destroy the team two year ago. WAY way faster and better guards and scorers

It's a good point. You can live with a guy with weaknesses, except when he doesn't acknowledge them.

I was thinking the exact same thing! His real self and his perceived self don't match up.

I saw Lonzo Ball play on TV last year in some ESPN high school showdown...his dad acted like a complete tool and very arrogant when they interviewed him in the crowd. Basically took credit for the teams success since he had three sons on the team. Which, ok, it's kinda true, but show a little humility. Point is I wish I hadn't seen that because I love the kids game,,, just kinda ruined it for me

Going to disagree here - the Harrison's, Ulis, etc would have been able to keep up with size and speed respectively. Inside? Towns, Lyles, etc would have worn Bam down. That team could also lock it down defensively when they needed to. It's still early but I don't think this team can. Either way I'm happy they lost! We can probably agree there!

He guaranteed that UCLA was also going to win the national championship this year during some game, but that doesn't take anything away from me in regards to ball. I love my team first but after Duke, I love watching Lonzo ball play. I loved how he didn't get rattled one bit during that game.

You can't let the reactions of a parent ruin your view of their kid. Kids can't pick their parents. He's a baller.
