Uh-oh. Golden Domers vacate wins in 2013 due to academic fraud.

In the past you would have never expected Note Dame to get hammered by the NCAA, so maybe there is still a chance for major punishments for a couple other schools. The other schools have potential issues with championship teams and the situation is more complex. At least I can keep thinking that. Once a championship is vacated, it will set a precedence that it will be possible to happen again.

Hey this may be the worst thing to happen to UNC. Dick VItale loves ND so much that even he would throw a major fit if his beloved ND got nailed over this and UNC skated

The team that brought us the Imaginary Girlfriend now has Imaginary Wins. Sounds about right.

This. How the heck does UNC not get hammered after the blatant cheating yet others like Notre Dame, Syracuse get sanctions? Honestly would just ignore anything from the NCAA.
It would have been ok if Notre Dame had let everyone cheat.

Notre Dame has millions of fans and a whole lot of them are very influential people. The NCAA may get a huge backlash over their double standards by going after the Irish and looking the other way for other programs. Look for many sports commentators, business leaders and others to speak out about this. Loud and Clear.

They like to boast about how their ahletes are actually college students who attend class and do their own work and their academics are above reproach.

I think they'll be some of that, but they just got their hall pass to fire a coach most already wanted to fire. You can almost sense some glee, or at least bloodlust, in the initial Notre Dame reaction.

He certainly has been a bust, no doubt. Notre Dame is in the Top 5 of my least favorite programs and they have seen their glory days. Very few coaches could turn them around and put them back among the elites. They deserve what they got and UNC also deserves the hammer. UNC should not only forfeit games they should get the death penalty

That would be Tony Rice,I loved it.Because they don't give schollies to athletes that can't make it.Some ND fans I use to know.

That's actually farther back than I was thinking but y ah that's another example of the Irish way.

I was thinking of Everett Golson.

Now ND can fire Kelly for cause vs firing him and paying the buyout. Lucky them. Amazing how quickly the NCAA acted here.

I was thinkin this too. I wonder if they're not doing ND a favor. They're already paying two other guys to NOT coach there. It would put them in a real tough spot to have to pay 4 guys. Gives them a way out of having to pay Kelly. Maybe not but I wouldn't be surprised.

What, the NCAA is going to finally do something?

Shouldn't this make jurich a little nervous-------jurich hell, everyone connected to their sleazy program.

Nah, probably, Transfer U is way bigger than ND, more fans, tradition, money, you name it, nothing to worry about there.
