There it is again, 22 million! LMAO I still don’t believe that number. Where has that number ever been officially released?!

EDIT: IMHO, I think this number is being used to discredit their accomplishments. No matter which way the season goes, that figure will be used negatively.

The bandwagon is gonna get big this season.

I am just sitting back like my dad watching the game, rocking back and forth, smoking my pipe, watching quietly, oberserving and enjoying the journey.

This is already fun to start the year off .... can't wait to see it build and grow!

and its great having everyone come over ( hey great to see all of you - everybody!!) to the new board here and pickup where we left off, long may it remain so !

Go Big Blue !

we look like the bigger more skilled team just watching warm ups. Then it played out in the game. Let’s see where we are Jan 1. I like how we look but I don’t want to hex it.

UCLA's titles back in the 60s had payrolls like this (adjusted for inflation) and their titles and accomplishments haven't been discredited.

Amen! These goofs will always hate on us yet Nike has been throwing whatever to a recruit to come to Duke. Still can’t get over the mansion for Zions family but no him and Cooper wanted to be apart of the brotherhood so they could be set for life lol.

Remember all those people that cried and said “who could we ever get if we fired Cal, be glad we have him”.

And 22 million is bogus. Isnt there now a rule a school can only spend 20.5 million TOTAL combined on all of the school’s sports NIL?

I would imagine that's beginning after the settlement date. Also... I think the cap may only apply to the schools and not nil boosters, but not clear on this yet

Only thing about that is the media carries water for UCLA/Wooden. That doesn’t apply for Kentucky. I would argue the opposite is true.

You play to win or you don’t play. I wasn’t too worried. I thought it would be close and could go either way. Not bad missing two starters and not shooting great from the outside.

But to some exhibitions don’t mean crap lol.
I still don’t think they mean all that much but I will say we are better than I thought especially with our PG and best Big man out. Moreno will affect games way more than most thought, JJ is legit. We can defend, rebound, and have depth. I still believe Purdue will end up being a top 5 team overall. They will be better and better as the year goes on. I like our chances this year.

Of course, like always if it was Duke it shows how awesome they are and it’s amazing the pieces they got. At Kentucky it’s always bad and no matter what we do it’s fluky or some BS they make up.

Lmao right! Like, UK is the ONLY team I’ve heard anyone mention their payroll amount. Literally haven’t heard that about any other team. No way in hell is duke’s payroll much lower than whatever our actual payroll amount is. Matter of fact, I’d be willing to bet it’s MORE than ours. Just about guaranteed.

EDIT: You don’t sign the type of class duke did this season, combined with what returnees they have coming back. No way is theirs less than ours. I refuse to believe it!

They all collectively decided to take way less money because of the brotherhood. They get taken care of for life over there…
